|Joel Shore||Re: Photo request for Joel Roberts (1839) at Mt Hope|
I've been researching this photo request. Unfortunately, the memorial was created from an entry in the Mt Hope Interment Records ( https://www.lib.rochester.edu/IN/RBSCP/Databases/IMAGES/MtHope/disc1/00000286.pdf ) that gives no burial location...and I have tried searching for him in a survey of surviving legible markers at the cemetery ( http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/mthope-sec-r.htm ) but have not found him.
DO you have any more information on the person you are looking for that would help?

I see that you have the graves of William Barbour and his wife as well as two other Barbours. I've contacted the Stowe Town Clerk, trying to find Silvy and Ruby's graves but they do not have any record of them being buried there although Silvy owns half of Section 1-A lot 3. There is no headstone, which doesn't mean anything of course if the family couldn't afford one. I would have assumed that he and Ruby would have been buried there. Do you know of any other means or way that we could find out besides the town clerk's office if they are?

Donna I am fulfilling your request for a photo of George Watkins Story and find that his niche includes Mary M Story and Grace Watkins Story. I have made memorials and added the photo to George Watkins Story - I did not connect the 3 as I was unsure of the relationship

It was a beautiful day (and not very many gnats). FYI, the cemetery grounds are very well kept...there was a guy there that afternoon weed-whacking EVERY HEADSTONE!. The newly cut grass smelled sweet (reminded me of my childhood).
Off to England & Ireland for about a month, so have a great June. If you have any other requests that require my special touch, you know where to find me...in a few weeks.
[Look deep into your family history and give me a challenge...but, just nothing with a date like 1703, because I'll never be able to read the inscription or name]

Hi, I just checked and it looks sideways to me. So I've narrowed it down to this IPad. I'll go out soon, take a pic with my Kodak, put it on the desktop pc, etc. those pics have always been OK. The iPad is Apple and they have different operating systems than any other type. Sorry you have to wait.

Hi, I never touched the picture so I don't know what's going on. This is weird. LC

Hi, I've tried to turn the picture, so please let me know if it's OK now. I've called the warranty/repair people and they are stumped too. When I checked it on my pc and the Knox memorial, it always looked straight up and down. I appreciate your patience.

I've been very careful to take the pictures straight up and down and don't know why some are turning out sideways. I'll straighten it out now but please let me know if it works. LC

Hello, I just posted the photo. If it is sideways, please let me know. I'm having trouble with windows 8 and some, but not all, of the photos come out sideways. I will fix it if needed. Go figure! LC

Joseph LaBell is my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather. Thank for the dates on when he was born and died. I had approximate dates. Can you tell me where you found the information on him.
I have been researching my family for quite awhile.
I still have some blanks that I would like to fill in.

Thank you for the kind words.
Restlawn is owned by a large conglomerate now. Before it sold in about 2005, I had a very good relationship with all of the staff. The old management even asked me to help them when a replica of the Vietnam “wall” was brought to Restlawn and put on display for several weeks. That was an honor for me.
Since it was sold, many have been fired and others brought in to fill the positions. Such a shame.

You are welcome. It was a pleasure to photograph the Mathews’ tombstone. I consider it a privilege to create a picture that will bring remembrance to our ancestors.

I went to St. Joseph's today and took the pictures you requested. I'm very glad that you contacted me about the flat markers for each person.....sorry I didn't realize that when I took the original picture! Please fee free to delete the snow covered pictures if you don't want them. I deleted them from two of the memorials so that the cemetery entrance still shows on two of them. Hope you like the new pictures, it's my pleasure to be helpful.

I see where you thanked Anne for fulfilling your Twombly photo requests. How are you related? My grandmother is Ruby Lucille Twombly. She married Carley Newcity. Elwin H Twombly Sr is my 3rd cousin twice removed.
Would like to share family information.

Done! Glad to help. This is one of my favorite cemeteries. It's a peaceful, quiet and a great place to wander among the markers and look out over the farmland. Are you from there? Do you know the place? I really like it.

There seems to be a bit of confusion relating to the cemetery listed for this request. The description says it is "2 miles for South Paris", but lists North Yarmouth as the town. These two towns are quite far apart. I do not find it in any of the resources I use. Not sure if you have any more info.
