Are you still requesting a pic of tombstone in Chattanooga Conf. Ce. for this. I don't think there is a headstone but just a sign with his name. Let me know if you want that. Thanks.

RE: Calvert C. Gillham
The Mississippi River National Cemetery was renamed The Memphis National Cemetery. I am not sure of the date the name changed.

I wouldn't worry about the name being wrong in some of the records. I'm sure the Regimental Surgeon or soldier keeping the records knew these men personally. I think its fairly common.

There is a way that you can request to have these two memorials combined. I thhink the proceedure is in the FAQ section.

Calvert Cameron Gillham
Hello,

My name is Bruce Linz and I live in Memphis. I think the man you are looking for is C. C. Gillham who is buried in the Memphis National Cemetery in Section C, Site 2314. He was from Iowa. His Find A Grave memorial number is 3156013. There is a "U.S., Burial Registers, Military Posts and National Cemeteries, 1862-1960" on ancestry.com that shows C. C. Gillham serving in Company D, 4th Iowa Infantry, who died at age 19 and whose initial burial plot was Section 3, Grave 617. Penned in red ink under first name is Caleb. The same records show Gillham was later assigned Grave Number 2314. My experience tells me Caleb Gillham and Calvert Gillham are the same man. I also found a record where his name is listed as Cater. I would be happy to put to take a photo of C. C. Gillham grave for you. Please let me know.

Semper Fi,
Bruce

Charles, I don't know if I ever answered you. I am waiting for the update to the family stone. I knew she was buried there because of all the funeral flowers on the new grave. She shares a family stone with her husband. I do keep a close watch on these and as soon as I can get a photo, I will add it to her memorial. So keep watch and it should be there soon, if there is any family member left to buy it.

Hi! You seem to have accidentally created two memorials for her. The second memorial is at the link below.

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Lee&GSiman=1&GScid=353347&GRid=125647940&

I was working on some other memorials in this cemetery, and I just happenned to notice the duplication.

Hensel burials
Looked for Melvina and Infant Daughter Hensel in Union Cem, Ohio, IL. today and did not find them. I will leave a note as to that effect, but leave them on the photo list in case I missed them...hard to read the old stones. We did find Enos and Adline Hensel and I have created their memorials along with Alice Hensel DeVenney & her husband, Elmer. I would be happy to transfer all to you; use the edit tab to make the request.

Would truly appreciate clarification on several bits of info in this memorial, where I found your name near the top.
1 - who died "before 1833" ?
2 - why is Sarah Colean listed between Jarvis siblings as being born 1827 (without having her father's info, it's confusing) ?
3 - did her mother marry a Belk, in addition to a Bolton ?

If this makes little sense, perhaps we can take one item at a time. Thanks for your help.

At the court house I was looking for Groce and Sappington and didn't have time to look at all I wanted to look at. So I need to go back to both the court house and the cemetery. Probably won't be for a week or two, but when I go back I will see if there is anything in probates/wills for Rice or Micajah.
