William Groves/Graves
Hi BjJ! I sent corrections for William Groves/Graves, and if you let me know it's been updated then I'll go ahead and delete what I added. Sorry about that - with the misspelling, I didn't notice another memorial in there. I was researching potential mother Ella Polk Taylor and it all looks like it would be a fit, but I'm not confident enough to add her as a link, so I put it in the bio area in case someone else can confirm. Curiosity... with so many under your responsibility, how did you notice that I'd added one?

Thanks for your work on this and the photo. I'm bummed that she has no stone, but I'm finding a lot of ancestors with no stone. I think this happens when the person is the last one living. There is no one left in the area to put a stone on them. (This was the reason for one of my Aunts.)

Anyway, thanks.

RE: Floyd Gallowy Memorial #56394587
You are most welcome. It is funny that the last time I communicated with you is was about a Wheelock who was related to my neighbor, this time it is my extended family. Thanks you for the work that you do.

Lenora Marie Theilken obit
Hi BjJ! Thanks for the obit for my aunt who died as a child. I appreciate it very much. Eventually, I will contact you for a marker photo for my great grandfather, Martin August Butzke in Oak Ridge Cemetery. It is in the works now of being made up and set on the grave site. Jim (

Yes, I have 13 variations of that surname. I think by the time grandma passes, her children and grandchildren do not necessarily remember her maiden name; especially a difficult one. The Trinity church records are crazy with a different spelling every time. Even immediate family don't recognize it right away. Fortunately the males have been more consistant in passing down the name and spelling.

RE: C. M. Tunnison #24041099
Thank you so much for the reply and the information. If we ever learn more we will send you an edit. We were so hopping he would have a death record we could order, but when we typed his name into the state searchable database, nothing comes up. We will keep look, who knows maybe something will turn up.

Thanks again,
Yolande 😊

Wow, thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly and for providing so much more information! Considering that you have already photographed all the visible headstones in the area where he is buried, I have removed my photo request.

By any chance in the cemetery record does it list the person who purchased the plot or an informant? I am trying to locate a Cassius M. Tunison who was born c. 1861 in New Jersey. Many of his family members moved to Illinois so I suspect that he might have as well.

In the 1880 census, there is a C. M. Tunison in Springfield who was born in New Jersey around the same time as Cassius and I believe this is the C. M. that is buried in this cemetery. You have listed on Find a Grave that he was born in Pennsylvania. Is that from the cemetery records?

Thanks again for all the hard work that you are doing in this cemetery.
All the best,

Infant Mou
I'm doing research on the 'Mou / Mow' side of my family. We have records of births / deaths / etc in Illinois. On Memorial #24910769, there is a notation for this infant as being the son of William (Mou). I'm wondering / hoping you made the notation so that maybe you might have more information on William (i.e. middle name, wife's name, etc). Thank you in advance for your help. :)

Thank you for your work, here.

This is my mother in law's great grandmother. Her name is Christine Barrell. She married John Matsushita/Mats and they lived and raised a family in Alvin, TX. Her parents were Charles DeBow Barrell and Hortense McVey. Her grandfather was Charlie E. Barrell.

I was wondering if you are related.
