Find A Grave Memorials 109769533 & 63749493
Hi BjJ:

Thank you for your support as I continue to improve my family's memorials.

I added new tombstone pictures to my mother's maternal grandparents memorials: Anna Marie Maisenbacher #109769533 & Frank J. Mueller #63749493. If you would be so kind to remove your old pictures, I would be obliged since they are no longer needed. I have sponsored both their memorials :)

My maternal grandparents Mercedes Mueller & Robert McHugh are buried right next to my paternal grandparents Matilda Hulcher & Carl Harvey Becker in Oak Ridge Cemetery block 22!

Thanks,
John B.

BjJ, Thank you so much for the great picture of Samuel Shreves headstone. I had just received the e-mail from you saying that some of the graves were not marked and was answering that I understand. Anyway, thanks so much for the early present. Hope Santa is good to you.

The James Henry Garrison that you have listed as buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery was, according to his obituary, interred in Hall Cemetery in Athens. SJR, 23 May 1984. This would explain why no death date was inscribed on his stone in Oak Ridge.

RE: Carrie Foreman Massey #24001303
I had an obituary extract for Lucinda and have sent off various requests for links and addition of data for Lucinda which would confirm her as Carrie's mother. I've edited that extract with information that might help. Material in brackets or parens are my additions:

From the Wayne County Press, 4/16/1953:

Mrs. Albert [Lucinda Byrd] Sarles, 82, died. Born English, Ind. May 22, 1870. She lived here for 20 years. Leaves husband Albert (#107204775), a girl Carrie Massey of Springfield, a son Lynwood Foreman of Hobert, Ind., 2 step-sons Roscoe and Raymond Sarles of Alton. Maple Hill Cemetery. ( #113739723) [First married to Charles L. Foreman (#131749852).]

Does that help? The brother from Carrie's obit matches the son from Lucinda's except for exact spelling. I'm sure I found something else, but at the moment I can't find it, probably a census record. In 1920 Lucinda Foreman, widow is living with "Lenwood" Foreman and Carrie Massey and her husband and child. In 1930 Lucinda has married Albert and is living with him and his son Raymond.

Hi BjJ:

I wish you and your family the best for Thanksgiving. I am now sponsoring ten Find A Grave memorials.

I added new tombstone pictures to my maternal grandparents memorials: Mercedes Elizabeth Mueller # 11149013 and Robert John McHugh # 22506148.

I would be obliged if you could please remove the old tombstone pictures, as they are no longer needed.

Have a great holiday weekend,
John

Olga Jackson Curtis #10967502
Hello!

I have changed the name on Olga's memorial to only Jackson. I noticed her obituary makes no mention of a husband so I wonder if they were divorced? Hard to say, but I changed her name and made a notation on the bottom of the memorial. Thanks for the heads up!

Jan

I've been to Strode cemetery taking pictures. First, I think that tombstone is possessed and you can't take a picture without a reflection, I tried. Second, and possibly more importantly, there is another grave marker with her name and the same dates on the opposite side of the cemetery. I'll post both Friday morning and you can decide what to do with them. Have a great day.
