Donna Scaboough's husband
I also have pictures of Daniel Paul Scarborough's marker. Is that Donna's husband? The sextant told me that he is officially buried in Arlington cemetery.

RE: Herman Gustav Sommerfeld
Me again,
It's quite interesting, as Herman Gustav and his brother Johann Frederick are listed as Sommerfield on the Fraser Coast Cemetery Records, whereas they have a brother and parents listed as Sommerfeld. Also, contemporary newspaper clippings has their family name as Sommerfeld.
There are other internments listed at Maryborough under Sommerfield prior to WW1 which rules out their being Anglicised. Maybe it is a typo in the records. I guess we won't know until you see the inscriptions first hand.

RE: Edward Albert Steinhardt
Hello Kay,
I've worked it out. Edward Albert died at Murgon 1980 and is buried there with his wife Anna (nee Hebblewhite.)
The compiler of the Family Tree Maker copied the same location and date of death for Edward as his brother Emil.
This gave me a little confusion, but glad that you have confirmed from your records that Edward is not buried at Maryborough.
Edward is my Great- grandfather.

Thanks again.
At the moment I'm finding the relatives buried in the Lockyer Valley.

RE: Herman Gustav Sommerfeld
Hello Kay,
Do the birth and death dates tally with the headstone inscription?
If so there is quite a plausible chance that H. G . Anglicised his surname during WW1 to Summerfield, and this is one and the same person.

Hi Kay!
Nancy Skipper-Rush here (In the United States) .... writing because I found you on and realized we may be related.
I thought you might be interested in the family book created by Doug Harrison called "Rocks in the Burnett", I don't see you listed in it so I am wondering how you are tied in to the "Family Tree". Over time we obviously loose connections so I am trying to see where you tie in. I see several gaps in your Find A Grave with August Clements Christian. He has other children not listed in the relationships so maybe through one of those. Write back when you have a free moment to spare if you wish, would love to connect.
Nancy : )

Hi Kay,

I thought I had replied to your email but can not see where I did.

It was a pleasure doing it.

RE: Moore
Hi Kay, I have looked for the grave of Kenneth Hendren at Mt Gravatt and don't think there is a marker. The marker top left on the photo I uploaded is 2B 437, and the only other marker in the area is damaged - however it has Asian script on it so unlikely. Please fell free to delete. Regards Janine

How sweet of you to hunt her grave down and do some research to find her final resting place. The pictures are really nice. Just so sad, that there isnt a headstone for her, but you, my friend, have made it possible for others that may be researching her and her family to know, that she is not forgotten. God Bless You now and forever, Amen.

Christina Davis - Los Gatos Memorial Park (your photo request)
Hi! I talked to the cemetery today and they said there is no record of Christina Davis at Los Gatos Memorial Park in Los Gatos, CA. I also looked at the cemetery transcripts of Mission City Memorial Park in Santa Clara, CA and the Saratoga IOOF Cemetery in Saratoga, CA (since I have access to both), and she is not buried in either of those cemeteries. Is it possible she is buried in one of our other cemeteries close by? There are quite a few. I know you did not make the original memorial, and I can ask that person as well if you like, but I thought I'd ask you first.

Due to the malfunction of my camera, I lost the picture of the grave of Ellen Brereton. I will return to the Salem Cemetery when there is a break in the winter weather. Sorry! Gale Yocum

Richard Kelley
Verda T. Cox
After fulfilling your request for photo of Verda's tombstone in Busby Cemetery in Johnson Co., IL, I noticed that the death date on the tombstone is different from date that is listed on memorial by A Gore. A Gore has 1954 as death date and tombstone has Oct 17, 1955, which I believe is correct. The obit included in the memorial states that Verda died on Monday, which is what day Oct 17, 1955 falls on. Oct 17, 1954 falls on Sunday.

RE: Mervin Leslie Garrard & Joan Sarah Bates
On the back of the grave marker is a list of their children by name. This is done for genealogical purposes. Sorry, but I can't read the back either.

Best wishes,

Happy to. Could you provide me with their memorial numbers? The memorial numbers are found at the bottom of the left column of each memorial. Thanks.
Best wishes,
