Thank you for your very prompt response to my tombstone photo requests in Oak Grove Cemetery. Your photos are perfect, so very nice and straight. No one does this better than you. The James & Ellen Grady and James Foley on the marker with Margaret are a mystery. I will do some research and try to figure out how they are related to Margaret and/or her parents.

|Chuck||Lieutenant Colonel John Chambers|
Hi. Thank you for your search for Lieutenant Colonel John Chambers. My proof for his burial at Oak Grove Cemetery is he was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil War that got killed in action & his obituary was in every major newspaper I saw across the country. I searched genealogybank.com to pull up several obits. I have been a genealogist for the past 25 years & only created the Find A Grave. Lieut. Col. John G. Chambers (1828-1864)because I found several copies of his obit of my wife's 3 greats- grandfather. We have his original Civil War picture and was also told through the family he was buried there. I wanted proof & that was when I searched genealogybank.com. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org . Feel free to e-mail me.

|Sabu||Gradys in Oak Grove|
I should have put in a tombstone photo request earlier for Margaret Grady (Memorial #162307559)when I did her parents James & Ellen Grady. I just discovered this omission. Margaret is in Curtin Lawn, Grave N, 109. I have just added her to the Oak Grove photo request list. The plot information in this cemetery is really weird. Obviously you understand how to find these tombstones. Hopefully you haven't been to the cemetery yet. Thank you for claiming these memorials.

I mistakenly recommended you update Thomas Hitchcock (1823 - 1890)with his father Richard W Hitchcock (1843-1904). However, Richard W is his son, not his father. Sorry for the confusion.

Grateful thanks Bob for taking the photo of William's grave- he was my late father-in-law's brother. The family have never managed to get out to Germany to see his grave, so this is a great comfort for them.
Many thanks again,

|jmgs1||RE: (#47118595) Margaret|
The Margaret # is a member's number not a memorial. Her actual memorial is # 100664412.
Bob, the 2 memorials in question are # 81939658 at Pines Cemetery & # 127556546 at Fairmount Memorial Park. (I submitted my edits to the Fairmount memorial because Edgar's wife is buried at Fairmount)
The memorial # 81939658 is "managed" by Margaret member (#47118595) but sadly Margaret has passed away. My dilemma ~ is somebody else managing those memorials? i am not sure who I should pose my questions to. I think Edgar WAS interned at the Pines Cemetery originally & may have been moved to the Fairmount Memorial Park but how do I find out?
On a side note as I see you enjoy taking pics of headstones in unusual far off places.......I have one for you. Its Edgar's brother~Rev. Howard Bigelow. Howard's memorial is # 162771716.
Howard was killed by an elephant in the Congo 1951. I posted excerpts from old newspapers to his memorial. The original news articles are a lot longer & do give a lot more in-depth info. The location of the cemetery used to be in a place called Costenmanville (pre independence from Belgium) now its called Bukavu, Sud-Kivu, Congo, Democratic Republic of (DRC) =)

Hey BobBoston I have a question for you. For some reason you are my go to person for answers.
I have found a memorial I believe is a relative that I want to make edits to AND there appears to be two memorials for said relative. When I go to public message the two members one of the individual's #47118595 profile says she has passed away. How would I find out if anyone is managing her memorials?
ps. The 2 different memorials are in 2 different cemeteries but in the same town~Spokane.

I would like to thank you so much for the photo of the gravesite of my uncle who I never met. His brother my Dad was only in my life for two years as he passed away when I was two. We have been doing what we can to do the family tree thing. Of course it would be great if I could get over there myself but that is not working out at this time.
Thanks again from me and my family.
P.S. We are volunteers for find a grave where we are in Canada.

|Gwen Lott||Aberdeen Proving Ground Cemetery|
Hi - Just saw the photo you posted of the cemetery Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. Do you know any history behind this cemetery? I find it interesting that most of the graves are of infants & children who lived short lives. Was this a special burial place for children of men/women in the armed forces? Thank you. Gwen <><
