Mae Egleston Davenport
noticed you have another of the same burial of Mae She is buried on top of Wesley Davenport at Bluff Cemetery and is already listed and also a picture of her gravestone on the bottom of Wesley's stone. Here is her grave site 133643221 that is already been listed. Your burial information is incorrect. She is at Bluff Cemetery. Take a look! Also Bob took new pictures of the headstone that shows her there. Hope this helps to clear up her burial.
Regards, Marie

RE: Davenport
Hi Shonneem,
You are correct about Charles as brother. and Harry as son. Have not found
where Hattie Davenport is buried but will get back to you if and when I find her. I have looked for her but have not found her where my mom said she died. My mom was wrong about several members in the family. It took other family members of the Rolfe family to correct them for me.. It is possible my mother was incorrect about where she died in Texas as my grandfather Harry died when I was in boarding school at the age of 4 and a half so He died when I was very young and he was the only one that would have known. Adored him!
Mae is with Wesley in the grave. Her name is on the bottom of his stone.
I apologize for answering your message so late. I have been ill. God bless you!

I will look at the Ohio Historical Connection for her death certificate. I e-mailed Columbus Metropolitan Library (closed for renovation) if they have any other cemeteries that were called Memorial Park at that time. When I get any answer I will share them with you.

William Stehle
Hi, I am still trying to find the burial place of William Stehle. Green Lawn has no record. William's death certificate states Memorial Burial Park. So at the time of death, it could have been Sunset Memorial Park or Memorial Park that is now King Wood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, neither cemetery has any record of burial. Do you know the burial place of his wife Maude Stehle? Patty

RE: Davenport
Hello
Sorry to have taken so long to answer,Been ill with cancer. First time I have seen this. You are correct Harry as only child. Hattie burned in a kitchen fire in Brownsville, Tx. I have never found her grave or any reference to her death in newspaper either in Elgin, IL. where she was born and raised or TX..
Thank you for information about Mae's last name. Always wondered if they married in TX. or IL.

You are welcome. Records I saw indicated that her stone was eleven feet to the right of her husbands. I measured it out and its 11 feet.

Photo Request for Eastern State Cemetery
Hi,

I saw you request for a grave photo. Only a very few graves in this cemetery have markers and those have been photographed. The original markers were 4 X 4 stones with a number. The only ones still visible are at the top flat section of the cemetery as at some point there was fill dirt brought in and everything was leveled off so the majority are now covered. When visiting one would not even realize that the hill side is covered with graves. Finding the location of a loved ones grave is an ordeal in its self. I spent nearly a year and a half getting the location of my great great grandmothers grave.

Memorial Transfer
Would you please transfer to me the memorial of Lea Albert Fish (Find A Grave Memorial# 32146666)? I am his second cousin and have additional information I could add to his memorial including the names of his parents and siblings.

Thank you.

RE: Frank Goldtrap, Mexia Cem.
Hey, good to hear back.
I have been walking the Mexia Cem. for 4 years or so and am personal friends with the caretaker, and he can normally lead me to anyone that I can't find, no luck on the Goldtrap surname. Of course, 1922 is so far back that any physical reference may never be located, unfortunately.
I also checked the txgenweb and found -no- surname in their records for Limestone Co.
I will keep the name on my clipboard and hopefully one day I'll stumble across it but if U come up with any clues, pass them along to me and I'll check it out.
Later, James Coston

Frank Goldtrap, Mexia Cem.
Morning Shonneen,
For the past several years I have been trying to locate data on Frank in the hopes of locating his resting place. The curator @ the cemetery who has been there for many years does not recall ever seeing the name.
In the County of Limestone, I have been -unable- to locate the surname Goldtrap in any of the cemeteries.
The D/C posted sez Mexia but even several trips to the library, which has an extremely good collection of materials, has turned up empty.
1922 is a long way back and the odds of a viable stone today are probably minimum but just thought I give ya a shout in case you might have a lead and not realize it, like maybe another surname he might be close to that I could research.
Thats it, Later, James Coston

Hello,

I have a high school senior photo of Merrill Bowne. My mom was in his class (BHS 1935). Are you related to him?
