|Janet Dabney Kiggans||Photo Request for Eastern State Cemetery|
I saw you request for a grave photo. Only a very few graves in this cemetery have markers and those have been photographed. The original markers were 4 X 4 stones with a number. The only ones still visible are at the top flat section of the cemetery as at some point there was fill dirt brought in and everything was leveled off so the majority are now covered. When visiting one would not even realize that the hill side is covered with graves. Finding the location of a loved ones grave is an ordeal in its self. I spent nearly a year and a half getting the location of my great great grandmothers grave.

Thank you very much for transferring the memorial of Lea Albert Fish to me. I have linked him to his parents and I will be adding additional information to his memorial in the near future.

|Phyllis Minner||Memorial Transfer|
Would you please transfer to me the memorial of Lea Albert Fish (Find A Grave Memorial# 32146666)? I am his second cousin and have additional information I could add to his memorial … including the names of his parents and siblings.

|James Coston||RE: Frank Goldtrap, Mexia Cem.|
Hey, good to hear back.
I have been walking the Mexia Cem. for 4 years or so and am personal friends with the caretaker, and he can normally lead me to anyone that I can't find, no luck on the Goldtrap surname. Of course, 1922 is so far back that any physical reference may never be located, unfortunately.
I also checked the txgenweb and found -no- surname in their records for Limestone Co.
I will keep the name on my clipboard and hopefully one day I'll stumble across it but if U come up with any clues, pass them along to me and I'll check it out.
Later, James Coston

|James Coston||Frank Goldtrap, Mexia Cem.|
For the past several years I have been trying to locate data on Frank in the hopes of locating his resting place. The curator @ the cemetery who has been there for many years does not recall ever seeing the name.
In the County of Limestone, I have been -unable- to locate the surname Goldtrap in any of the cemeteries.
The D/C posted sez Mexia but even several trips to the library, which has an extremely good collection of materials, has turned up empty.
1922 is a long way back and the odds of a viable stone today are probably minimum but just thought I give ya a shout in case you might have a lead and not realize it, like maybe another surname he might be close to that I could research.
Thats it, Later, James Coston

Do you know if Merrill had any living desdendants that might be interested in having the original photo that I have? If so, email me at email@example.com. Thanks!

I have a high school senior photo of Merrill Bowne. My mom was in his class (BHS 1935). Are you related to him?

|Alan Haan||RE: Eggleston photo|
Greetings, There are other Egglestons listed in the book, some with markers, some not. The snow is 6 inches deep here now so it is not a good time to walk a cemetery. I can tell you if someone has a marker but it will probably have to wait for spring for a picture.

|Jenny E.||RE: crossley photo|
You're welcome. I was a little bit hesitant to add this pic because of it being a joint marker with someone who appears not have passed yet. I couldn't find a way to crop out Hildegard's name without cropping out "Crossley". Hope this is ok?

It is pretty hard to take pictures here as it is a private cemetery that is always locked buy will see if I can find a way in legally.

You are very welcome for the Bell photos. I am still looking for Richard. He should be in Sec. N next to Mildred, but I couldn't find him the other day. He might be hiding in plain site, or he may not have a tombstone. I plan on looking again on my next trip to the cemetery.

|Ron West||RE: Charlier photo request|
According to the records I have access to (put out by the cemetery itself a few year ago) the only 2 Charliers listed are the two you know about and no death dates are given for either one. I can tell you that they are listed as being buried in the IOOF section of the cemetery and that that section is not maintained anymore. The section is supposed to be completely full but you wouldn't know it by the amount of headstones left though.

|James Coston||Frank Goldtrap, Mexia Cem|
Locating him or any info has been quite a task.
I posted his death certificate on his memoral page. Some people don't appreciate that so this is FYI and if U want it removed, let me know.
I was hoping for info from it but all it sez is Mexia, had no doctor and basically dropped dead on the street, looks like no autopsy was done. Probably no performed so much back then. The informant is listed, may be someone that U know of or about, may be useful.
I am friends with the caretaker and the next time I am over there I see if he can help.
Later, James Coston
