RE: Alice McNamee Fick

She was born Mar 1849 in County Donegal, Ireland.

She married John Paul Fick (1845-1925) about 1874. I tried to find out if they were married at Saint Dominic's, but the church never got back to me. He is buried in North Cedar Hill Cemetery with their son, John M Fick (1875-1902).

Alice is buried at Saint Dominic's in Sec A, Range 5, Lot 7, Grave 2. The church told us that there are empty graves in the lot. I guess they thought that he would be buried there, but he remarried and wasn't buried there.

Her daughter, Mary, was my husband's grandmother. They also had a daughter, Kathryn, who never married.

Thank you so much for considering this. I really appreciate it. I submitted a photo request a long time ago, but nothing ever happened. S.R.F.

RE: My grandmother
Yes, thank you, Susan, I would appreciate it if you transfer her memorial to me. I have used Ancestry for several years and maintain about a dozen trees but I can see how helpful Findagrave can be. The notes you included for my grandmother were of special help because it confirmed the church that would have been their parish. So again my heartfelt thanks.

Harris family
Hi Susan,

I am searching for a cemetery named Bryn Athyn in Southampton, Bucks, Pa. where Rev. Thomas Stark Harris (1858-1940)and his wife Eva Marie Bradley (1863-1937)are supposed to be buried (according to obits). I would like to add them to Findagrave. Are you familiar with Bryn Athyn Cemetery? I am thinking that perhaps the name has changed since my ancestors were buried. I am hoping that you may be able to help.

Thank you for all of your good work.

My grandmother
Hello, Sue--I just wanted to thank you for posting a memorial for my grandmother, Gladys Reilly. I only recently came across it and appreciated the reference to her obituary. You inspired me to start adding family grave sites to Findagrave; I have now linked Gladys to her husband and daughter and am awaiting word if the link to her son's grave was accepted. Thanks again. Dorothy

Dr JeessicaLongsdorf Bozorth
Jessica,
You need to check Dr. William H. Longsdorf in Cumberland County, Pa and his 6 children. He was a Major in the Civil War, a medical doctor and a dentist. He had 6 children. He and all six of his children graduated from Dickenson College in Carlisle, Pa. The second son suffering from epilepsy had an accident during a seizure and died. However the oldest son Harold Longsdorf became a doctor and later took over his father's practice. Of the 4 daughters two also became medical doctors and Jessica became a dentist. The youngest, Persis was a teacher. Zatae moved to New Hampshire, married a surgeon, set up a medical practice with emphasis on women's health and became the Congresswoman for the state of New Hampshire. On the Dickinson campus at 33 Cherry Street in Carlisle there is a student residence building named Longsdorf Hall dedicated to her.
