|luckysitsinback||RE: Julia Dean Willis #70806497|
from Fern's memorial:
" ... using the pseudonym "Fanny Fern. ... Fern married James Parton, a former employee of her brother, in 1856. The couple moved from New York City to Manhattan. In her later years, Fern spoke out about social reform and women's rights, specifically women's suffrage. (bio by: Midnightdreary)
Well, at any rate, Julia is correctly linked, but doesn't show for whatever reason. I'll try to have Find A Grave correct this confusing state, link James Parton's name within your bio, and, it would appear, make no changes to the spelling of her pseudonym:
"Description: Portrait of Fanny Fern
Date: Published 1874; photo taken before October 10, 1872
Source: Fanny Fern: A memorial volume. Containing her select writings and a memoir. G.W. Carleton & Co., 1874
Author: Artist unknown"
Thanks for your help!

I want to link Julia to Fannie.
Julia is linked to Fannie's parents.
The others of Fannie's siblings show on Fannie's memorial, but not Julia.
I want to link James Parton's name in the text of Fannie's bio, similar to how her brother's name is linked, to his memorial, in addition to having his link showing as one of Fannie's spouses.
Find-A-Grave is maintaining Fannie's memorial.
Perhaps you - as the original contributor - could point this request to them, as I don't know how to do this.

does not appear linked as sibling to Fannie Fern, which memorial is maintained by Find-A-Grave. Julia is correctly linked to the same parents, however, and all other siblings show correctly with Fannie Fern #37440541. Perhaps add her name to Fannie's bio? Thanks.

I am thinking he was the father of my Seraph Pratt. I have connected her but I need to find her mother (Vashti (Cutting)) whom I haven't found in this cemetery. I don't have a date of death for her and Ancestry is not working well at all for me to do searches.
If this Dexter Pratt isn't her father I will remove the connection and keep on searching.
And thank you for your work at F.A.G.

Would you by any chance have the location of the Botta family grave in Woodlawn? I want to visit Anne's grave on Monday. Thanks if so!

The memorial page you created for Louisa Leavitt Sanborn, wife of Franklin Sanborn is well done. I'm wondering though if their son, Victor Channing Sanborn is in fact buried in Chicago as noted. I found grave markers for he and his wife at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord today. I just created a memorial page for each. Do you think their grave markers are just memorials? If so, do you know where in Chicago they are buried. Thank you. - TCW

I like your work, Midnight Dreary, and strongly approve your goals. Ravenesque moniker as well.
I teach American literature at a Tokyo university, and my seminar students and I are doing similar work in regard to the characters in Masters' "Spoon River Anthology" who have real-life prototypes and whose graves we can locate.
Have a look at my "Spoon River" virtual cemetery. Two of the memorials there represent work we have completed: Margaret George Davidson and William Cullen Bryant (not the famous poet but a youthful namesake).
