|JaneyH||Richard Squire Denniss 1852-1939|
Greetings from England! I've just come across your photo of the grave of Richard Squire Denniss, 1852-1939, which you've shown as being in Mizpah Cemetery, Platteville, Weld County, CO. The plot reference is Row 7, Lot 65, Space 6.
Do you have any background on this person? I have a 3x great grandfather named William Denniss, who married a Frances Squire. There are many descendants in the Denniss family who all used the middle name "Squire", including a family who I believe emigrated to the USA in about 1872/3. If you have any information it would be great to hear from you.
Kind regards, Jane

Hi Cathy - In doing a little sleuthing for my friend I ran across this marker and found an answer we had been looking for. I believe you will find that this headstone is for two people.
Orville Robbins 1826-1896 (father of)
Earl Orville Robbins 1853-1888
Which would explain the 35 year old described on the stone with birth and death dates of 70 year old!
Let me know if you need more information. Thank you for posting this - you helped us solve a mystery.

|Douglas Kelly||RE: James W. Kelly|
Thank you for transferring the memorial. The number is #30532338.
James married Bertha Ola Patterson on January 4, 1899 in Franklin County Indiana. I have traced that line of Patterson all the way back to Arthur Patterson, born 1659 in Norther Ireland, died July 3, 1765 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
If you would like, I can give you access to view my Ancestry.com page where you will find all of the Patterson's related to Bertha, Jame's wife and my great grandmother. Perhaps there would be useful information there for your husband.
my personal email is firstname.lastname@example.org, please feel free to contact me there.

|Anonymous||Ludwig Berg - Kansas|
I wanted to thank you for photographing my great grandpas grave. Ludwig Berg died in 1896 and is buried at Mankato, KS. He was born in 1852 in Norway.
I am told that he died due to a tragic accident. He and his father-in-law were traveling in Kansas during a storm by horse/buggy and were crossing a train track. They were hit by a train and killed.
As per the 1880 census he and his wife lived in Burr Oak, Jewell, KS. His wife, Rachel Mattie Everson Berg (b. 1857), left Kansas after his death and moved to Iowa to have her mother-in-law help raise their children.
Ive been trying to locate any newspaper article that might provide details on the accident. If you know of any information, please let me know. Thank you again for your photograph.

I see where you added a memorial for Wallace Coombs, birth dates and death dates unk in Miltonbvale KS cemetery. Where did you find out about him? I wonder because my great grandmother was married to a Wallace Coombs but we were always told he died in Oklahoma. However she had ties to Ottawa County KS. Thanks Donna

Cathy: You made a memorial for this lady on 5-18-2009. She did not pass away until 8-22-2012. I established a memorial for her on 9-12-2012 and put her obit on that memorial. Since yours was established before she passed away you need to delete yours. Please transfer the photo you took of the headstone to my memorial #96968088.
Thank you, Shirley
