I am the Grand daughter of Violet May McKeig born 1903 died 1925 who was the daughter of the following.
I have not been able to find much information at all about any family members because my mother died when I was young and I was brought up by my paternal extended family, plus I know absolutely nothing about my father's side of the family either.
1882 – 1942

1883 – 1947

I know that some of the McKeig family members went to Western Australia and therefore I am hoping that perhaps someone in your side of the family will have some information that can give me a path to follow a bit.
My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and I live on the Gold Coast Queensland.
I would be most grateful if you can help in any way at all.

|Janice Mitchell||Jean Mitchell|
I don't know much about all of this. We are looking for a Jean M Mitchell who we think married ?? Withell. The Jean we are looking for is/was my husband's half sister. Our Jean had a brother named Howard who we cannot find either. This all took place in Western Australia. Jack's (my husband) father Francis Bernard Mitchell married an Elizabeth Margaret Keys in Perth around 1910/11 or so, she died around 1914. It seems to have happened not long after the birth of Jean, Howard was the elder child. This is rather convoluted but we are really interested to finish of this part of the family history if we can.
Neither Jack's mother or father ever spoke of these two children and we feel very bad about that. It wasn't until after the death of both parents that Jack's youngest Aunt told us about all of this. She remembers young Jean going to the family home in Mt Lawley where they apparently thought she was beautiful and used to dress her up and curl her hair etc. I am hoping that at last we may come up with some explanation and some history of this sad chapter. Jack had a younger sister and an older sister both of whom are dead now. Jack is about to turn 89.

I live not far from this cemetery and I found some old photo's I took of headstones. I'm trying to preserve our war hero ones before they become too weathered. I've added some graves to your memorial. I will certainly try to get some more before the weeks out.

They were doing something around his grave site when I got there. I did the rest and came back after I ate. They were gone. They added wreaths to a large number on markers. He was one of them.
