3 James L. Gorrells
I've answered my own question with a little more research. There is a third James L. Gorrell, this one a born to Reasin Gorrell and Susannah M. Jones in 1842, and who married a Mary F. Chesney 26 Nov 1866 in Harford. After the death of these two sons (William Reasin and Lawrence Chesney), the family moved to Virginia.

Lawrence Chesney Gorrell l# 107056406
Hi, Thom! I'm trying to figure out this Rock Run Cemetery Gorrell Family. I would assume that Lawrence Chesney Gorrell (Find A Grave Memorial# 107056406) is the son of James L. Gorrell (blacksmith) and Cordelia A. Chesney, just by virtue of the name Chesney, but even though I can't make out the inscription on the tombstone, the mother's name doesn't look like Cordelia. Also, I think the other person engraved on this grave is William Reasin Gorrell (107056346). What's confusing is there is another James L (Lee) Gorrell from Harford at this time, a farmer, who also had a son named William Reasin Gorrell (1859-1936) who married an Amanda Isabel DeSwan and had 10 children. So, two James L Gorrells, two William Reasin Gorrells. What I'm wondering is what is the name of the mother on Lawrence's and William's shared tombstone. It kind of looks like Mary F. Which throws another wrench into the genealogical chain.
