Thanks for making the relationship updates for Alfred Helgeson and his family. Much appreciated. It's so nice to see the family begin to be connected even though Alfred's parents and brothers and sisters are buried in different states.

Thank you for the great pictures of Hugh O'Pry's marker. It is so much better than the ones we took when we were on vacation in Georgia. I hated to post mine it was so bad. I appreciate your good photography.

Thank you very much for the quick response to my request for photos of his grave. The style of gravestone used at the Linwood Cemetery is very interesting. Did you by any chance make a note of the inscription? Like many gravestones from that time period it is very hard to read. I did notice that his brother, William Edward, is also buried in the same plot.

Thanks for your picture, unfortunately I can't tell if he was a 509PIB airborne during the WW2 . I'm pretty certain he is the hero I look after , same name, same Birth year, same state ... If one day you find his obit could you contact me ?

|~*Debbie*~||Murphy Family Cemetery|
I see that you added 54 memorials to Murphy Family Cemetery in 2011 and created the cemetery in Harris Co GA, listing it in Pine Mountain. However, I have to let you know that this cemetery is not in Harris County. It's in Troup County and the Murphy Family Cemetery was added there in 2008. The directions listed to this cemetery (in both counties) is correct and identical. As you look at the map, the Troup County line is at the city limits as you leave Pine Mountain on Hwy 27. The cemetery is appx 7 miles further into Troup County. Additionally, this cemetery is listed in Troup County at the Troup County Archives which you can find online, as well as Usgenweb Troup County Archives.

This has been a satisfying little side trip (I work on South Carolina people). I had thought Mrs Sterling was the poor anonymous forgotten young wife (overactive imagination)-but it turns out she was quite a substantial lady and they did handsomely by her in terms of an obit. Wonder if someone could post a photo of her grave?

Isnt that odd, that it would somehow get changed back to the original plain name, and I would get notification of ....nothing, really.

I love the collaboration on Find A Grave, each of us adding bits of information to memorials and linking them to family. It's so satisfying when someone else takes a bit I've added and works with it like you did. So that's why I sent you thanks for that. I wish every contributor was like you.

|Susan Jones||RE: Thank you So Much|
My apologies for not answering sooner. I've had to stay away from here for awhile, on advice from my therapist. (Long story but I'm doing much better now though.)
If you wouldn't mind transferring her memorial, I would appreciate it so much, you have no idea how touched I was to find that someone had taken the time to create one for her and that she hadn't been forgotten. There is one other sister whom I haven't been able to find, her name is Janice but I'm not sure of her middle name, she was an infant as well. My Mother had lost 2 children due to the Army doctors unforgivable experimentation on pregnant Army wives with Thalidomide, but then she went on to have 4 more healthy children, all girls, me being the youngest.
Thank you once more, and if there is anything i this are I can do for you as well, please let me know.
Have a wonderful New Year.
