A AAA American at Find A Grave
TNX..
Dear Joy,

I hope this helps.

Sometimes inversion of Dated Dates happens.

The Captcha here is such a .. nicer words.. loquacious palaver device..eh..

Kinda like with all the ADVERTS you have to go through a gauntlet and do someones work who is PAID to do the work..

As a Vol. I try to help all souls.

On your Douglas W. Atkins child you may want to re-do it too.

Please add me as your friend. On Find a Grave also now.

Regards,

Jonathan Robert De Mallie

Hello Joy

I hope you have had a good day. Mine has been busy. Iv'e been going through my files as well looking for Pendletons Military file. I know I have it among the hundreds. It will turn up.

As for the Will, what a wonderful document to share !! I know the "many descendants" will LOVE seeing it ! I believe what we find is meant to be shared not stuffed in a folder or a drawer. Not in a cloud someplace either. We have to find all the information we can and share it with as many descendants who want to know. That way these ancestors are not forgotten or lost again. If I find family I will share what I have and would hope they do the same. We are of the same blood no matter how many generation are between us. We are of the same blood.

RE: Pendleton and Mary Maze
Hello Joy,
I hope your having a great day ! I sure am. Its actually a beautiful day here in North Carolina today. Not humid, not hot, no rain, just perfect today, I love it. My little Reesie is loving it too. Now if I can just get her to stop digging for those little moles in the back yard ,we both would be happy campers. Yesterday she was half way to China before I dug her back out of my yard. To funny. I need to rename her "Diggit".

Still researching as always, I found a Grandmother I have been looking for -for about 5 years !! Unreal how they pop up out of nowhere . I am just thrilled !!!!

We are all Pendletons Grandchildren. And the Grandchildren of his children children. And so on.

As for me,I pulled my chart out-
I'm in the Family line I am as follows-
Pendleton and Mary
daughter-Martha Ellen Isbill-Powell Maze
Son-William Jasper Maze-Elizabeth Martha Moyer
Dau-Elizabeth Artie Maze-Earl Madison Dedman
Dau-Hazel Emma Dedman-Arthur Henderson
Dau-
Dau-

I have pictures of all of the above.

Please add the rest of his children and his correct parents. His military career would be great on his memorial as well since you have his rank. His nickname the military service gave him would be pretty kewl too on there. Please update it with it all ,and so much more to Honor Grandpa.
Thanks.

RE: Pendleton and Mary Maze
These are also my ancestors on my Mom's side so at this time I'll hold on to them. Otherwise I hand over many memorials that don't belong to me. Joy

Joy,
Thank you for your reply above above. I must say I was a little set back by your response.
I would very much like to know who you and your mother are because I have been tracing the Family History for almost 40 years and Know just about every name out there, I have a full library of everyone. I just may know who you are in the family.

Next your response sent me to looking at Find a Graves "FAQ's" section to see just how this works.
As per the FAQ's
You must be a DIRECT LINE RELATIVE "Grandchild"
"I AM".
You must be within 4 generations,
"I AM".
The holder of the Memorial would need to have made some extensive updates/changes to the memorial.
"You do"

The ultimate goal is to have accurate memorials for those who have passed away.

NOT to just "COLLECT MEMORIALS"

Thank you for your time
Hazel Inglis

Griffith Cemetery-Hope Well Springs, Monroe County Tennessee

Joy, thank you for all the work that you have done at the Griffith Family cemetery. I have a couple of cousins that have been there and based on what they described, it sounds like you really worked in a difficult situation. Can you tell me if you happen to have any sweeping or wide views of the cemetery/plots that you took a picture of that you could post? Thank you again, Joel Mason

Lillian Hulvey
You posted a picture of Lillian Hulvey's tombstone at West View Cemetery in Sweetwater, TN. I wanted to thank you. My paternal grandmother was Helen Hulvey (Barnes) the oldest daughter of O.C. Hulvey and his wife Geneva Sillings. There is a short biography of Col. Hulvey in Tennessee and Great Tennesseans due to his involvement with the Tennessee Military Institute. I never knew they lost a child.

Sherlocks Cousin
Isaac Burleson Memorial
I think you are right - This Isaac is not the same as the Montgomery, NC Isaac Burleson/Burleyson, who was a 5th G-Grandfather of mine. Thanks for posting the comment in the bio. His Will never mentions children that I have listed.

Thankful For JOY
Thank you Joy Ten Times a Million for taking the time to find my grandfathers grave and my father's infant brother's. And taking the photo's for our family to now have record. We live so far away and as time passes the dates and stories get faded like blue jeans. We don't have to wonder or guess anymore. You completed the story for us. We will be forever and eternally Thankful. Always, Laura

Civil War soldiers
Thank you for your generosity of spirit. Your help in finding the burial sites of the Civil War soldiers of Monroe Co. Tn, has done much to get these men included in the tombstone and burial place survey at the ETHC. You have done much to preserve these soldiers for both research and remembrance.
