Date of death for 92739020
I've uploaded an image of the tombstone order card for memorial 92739020, Janet. It shows the year of death for that Samuel to be 1894. In the caption for the image I noted his approx year of birth from the roster for his Civil War company. Perhaps that will help people and honor him more appropriately than the "no dates at all" situation does. You get a gold star for doing your part to make Find A Grave more accurate!

RE: Sam Montgomery
I just looked at the roster for Company C, 48th Ohio Vol Inf, and I see that Samuel Montgomery (the one with memorial 92739020)was age 29 when he entered on 10-3-61, which would make him born about 1832. If the contributor would put even an approximate date of birth in the bio section of that memorial, people would be less likely to confuse that Samuel Montgomery with the one born in 1839. I appreciate your attempts to get this corrected.

RE: Samuel A Montgomery
Thanks for the heads-up about the death certificate on memorial 92739020. It's unfortunate that there are no birth or death dates on that memorial.

RE: Samuel Montgomery
Hi Janet. I really only added what was sent to me. I personally did not add any info on Samuel Montgomery. Civil War vet. I assure you that there are two Samuel Montgomery's in Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery on High Street, and one is Samuel Montgomery with a Co. C sign under his name. The stone and pic was taken by me, and I only added information that was given to me. I always link the contributor of the information with the memorial because of these kinds of problems. It is up to the Contributors of the information to sort this out. I will be glad to remove any info other then the name and rank of the veteran when you all have sorted out who did what.

Hattie Montgomery
Please review your information regarding Samuel A. Montgomery Civil War Vet. Someone wants to correct his wife to Melvina Moore Montgomery. His death certificate indicates his current wife at time of death was Melvina. I am going to add Melvina and if there is more than one spouse and it's including Hattie, Ok.

My source tells me he never had a wife named Hattie.

I have no resources to back this up.
Thank you.

Thanks! I removed the memorial that I had for Lois and there is a picture of her headstone on your memorial now if you wish to see it. But it doesn't have her death date engraved on it as of yet.
Thanks again,

Memorial for Lance Robert Waters
Unless you are also a relative, would you mind transferring the memorial for Lance Robert Waters (Yearsley Cem.) to me? Lance was the son of my cousin, David Waters. Thank you, Norma Hughes

Catherine and Roy Wright
I recently added a photo of my cousins Catherine Humphrey Wright and Roy Wright to your Memorials. There is also some additional info pending in your 'edits' tab. Would you consider transferring their Memorials to me? My Dad and Catherine were first cousins, but our families have always been close.

Hello Janet,
I ran across this and thought you might be interested. If you are interested and are on facebook, there is a group called Highland County, Ohio History & Genealogy. I found this picture there and there is always so much information. The group is private and is a great resource. Your Thomas is in a picture at the link above. Take care,
Beth Ann

Hi, I really made a mistake. I found the correct photo for Charles Schmook and added it. I'll have to send a request to the admin to move the picture of Louise. Thanks for letting me know. bhd
