Thanks for the information you added. A few quick questions -- If we ever are in the area, can we visited the cemetery? Whom do we need to get permission from? Are there any actual stones in evidence? Thanks so much for any info you can provide.

Hi Carol: I took the whole area in which William was buried and Ada was not beside him. As to whether she is in this cemetery, you need to call them an inquire as volunteers are not welcome. I hope this information is helpful. Chris

Thank you for your input on John Wallace in Old Cedar Branch Cem. I appreciate your looking this up for me - Mary
Added by Mary on Feb 02, 2015 7:12 AM
Carol, I enjoyed and greatly appreciated your bio in Findagrave. Is the John Wallace buried in Old Cedar Branch Cemetery, Houston Co, Texas, possibly the John Wallace listed in Census 1860 in Houston Co, TX, 46 yrs old, born NC(1814), wife Hiva or Eva 49 born NC (1811), daughters MA. and S.A.
I could not find any of these people in 1870 census in Texas, Except I believe Sara Jane Wallace, born Oct 4, 1851 in Houston Co, TX, married June 25, 1868 to James Jefferson Smitherman and they were in Houston Co in 1870.
I could find no Texas death record for John Wallace, or his wife Eva, but daughters Mary Wallace and Sarah Jane Wallace Smitherman are listed for many years in Houston County and McLennan County Texas. Would greatly appreciate any information you might have on this John Wallace. - Mary

Carol, FYI, I submitted a merge request on this name several days ago. Administration just hasn't gotten around to it apparently. New year rolled around and they seem to be very slow getting to requests thus far.
