Thanks so very much, Lloyd for answering my request for a photo of my great-great grandfathers tombstone.
It's truly wonderful that you could provide this for me when I can't travel such a distance.

Youve included a picture of Rosetta's headstone but you also put a picture of her parents stone. Can you please remove it? Thanks

I think this is the wrong person, the birth/death dates and names do not correspond. Please remove and place on the correct memorial. Thanks.

|A.J. Marik||Find a Grave reminder|
When you upload your grave photos, first make sure that they are not "chalked" (or shaving creamed) headstone photos! Find a Grave is looking for photos of gravesites/headstones as they actually look, poor condition and all. Chalking (creaming, wire brushing) headstones is actually illegal in many cemeteries across the country, as it is likened to vandalism. Continued posting of chalked and/or altered headstones will put your account into jeopardy. Any photos which depict evidence of chalking/creaming will be deleted. The Find a Grave FAQs clearly state this policy:
How do I clean a headstone or grave marker?
Unless you are related to the interred on the headstone in question, DO NOT do anything to the headstone.
Never clean gravestones with anything but water and a soft brush. Slate gravestones from the Revolutionary era and Pre-revolutionary era are best left alone due to their delicate nature and tendency to erode.
Never apply bleach, ammonia, shaving cream, chalk, flour, baking soda, cornstarch, firm pressure or use anything abrasive. Do not post photos of recently chalked or shaving-creamed headstones. Consult a professional before any attempt to clean a headstone is made.

I noticed you had posted photos on some of the memorials I created and they have some type of a substance on them to make them readable. Can I ask what you are putting on the stones?

|David Goddard||Thomas Luther Goddard & Sarah Jane Smith Goddard Morris|
I have been unable to find the grave sites of my great-grandparents: Thomas Luther Goddard (1836-1865) and Sarah Jane Smith Goddard (1837-1929), later married to Chester Morris, so last name=Morris at time of death. There is another Sarah Morris who died around that time and is buried in the Morris cemetery...wrong woman.
Sarah's obit says she was to be buried in the Cornell IL cemetery. I could not find her stone. Is she in an unmarked grave, or in another cemetery?
I have a date and place of birth on Thomas. All I know is that he died in 1865 in Pontiac. I have no date of death or place of burial, or cause of death.
Can you help me out?
