|Jack Franke||RE: Re: Ella J Darling Russell|
You are welcome. I also posted photos for all the names on Ella's memorial that were in the same location in Oakwood cemetery.
In high school, I played sports, and if I could get myself to a certain location at 5:05, a Paul Darling, a neighbor, would pick me up and transport me 3 miles toward my home. He lived another 2 miles farther beyond this point. I always hitch-hiked home unless he picked me up.
He was born in Detroit. Nice man.

I don't know that I am related or not. I was trying to see if she was any of the Ann Markham's that I have in my tree as it seems originality in naming children was not common in those days. I am a serious researcher and have spend money from time to time. I do use ancestry and other sites as well. Yes I agree the pay off is worth however I do work in animal rescue and it does not pay well. I feel for your bad experience. I do find a lot of mistakes in the trees and take things as it needs further research.
My query about Ann was to see what line of Markhams she is from. As the Markham lines are my main lines of research.
It sound like you have done a lot of work and I understand your frustration. But I have also found without many of these trees I still would be looking.
Best wishes, Heather

Hi, B. Darling...As a volunteer genealogist working predominately from familysearch.org, I came upon the Darling clan in Michigan while researching the Woodworth clan...Having already put in some inquiries to Glenn G. (who has apparently both created & been maintaining these entries), I could not help but see your name among Glenn G.'s "friends", & therefore wonder whether some or all of these folks I am at present researching might be ancestors of whatever degree of yours? Regards

I am doing some geneological research for a friend who is also a great grandson of John Thomas Piner, and a grandson of Wilbur Roland Piner. He has asked me to try to locate some of his family. Is there a way to contact you directly for information? Many of my searches have unfortunately lead to graves. He is searching for Ann(e)and Jim Kane. Anne would be his paternal aunt, his father being Thomas Lynn Piner, who is deceased. Any info you could share would be much appreciated. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!

I am wondering I noticed that your 4 great grandfather Charles Baird had a daughter Sophia who married Thorton Rigg and then Samuel Dull. I am wondering if you are from around Henry County. I am working on a Rigg family book and Mary Ann the daughter of Sophia and Thorton is in it. I am looking for an obit for Samuel, Thorton and Sophia if you know where I could get one let me know please. It is nice to find someone who is actually related to the person(s) I am researching.

I know what you mean. In my research on my family I've found where there were several children that passed away when they were infants in the early 1900s and I've had a hard time finding if they were buried and if so where so I can link them with their parents. I noticed that Lodema was only six when she died. If you don't mind my asking, do you know what she died from? It's always sad when someone dies so young.

Happy to point out questionable items that need to be addressed. Since you wanted a photo of Lietha's headstone I assumed you read on her memorial there was no headstone . It looks like Erin deleted hers and yours is up.

|Penny Wood Spaziani||RE: Letha Hale/Reed Hale|
I was happy to take the photo of Letha's location, I assume that you already knew there was no headstone and only wanted one of the location. I did not take a photo of Reed's headstone as there is already a memorial with a photo #93264133 for him. I would suggest that you remove the memorial that you made #103616767 as it was created after the original one. I am sure if you ask Erin she will transfer him to you and you can make the changes on there and it will make less confusion :)

|Barbara Manning||RE: Milton Baird wives?|
In his Obit. Dec 12 1889 LaGrange Standard,, the Wolcottville Department, there is only one wife listed and it is Lydia. The paper has his middle initial as 'P'. The information about Lydia leaves no doubt that this is the Milton Baird married to Lydia Bruce. No second wife is listed. THis Baird family was very large and 'Milton' is common for both first and second names. Hope this helps.
