I am a Clopton and Wright descendent. I see that you have added these photos and information; are you & I perhaps related?

No. 3, LEONARDO POMA THAT MARRIED MARIA is not related to me that I know. I did some research on them and I believe her maiden name is Passalaqua.
Leonardo Poma, 08 Jul 1899-31 Jan 1979. He is the son of Christofaro Poma.

RE: POMA
No, I don't think so. All the Poma's have the same names, difficult to pull them apart.
All my early Poma family lived on the East Side of Detroit and were first buried just in Mt. Olivet. Later some moved on the West Side if they worked for Ford's especially.
However, one never knows where one may show up.
I did have one Poma-cousin that married another Poma, they were West Siders. Before they were married it had to be proved they weren't related blood-wise. Maybe that is what I should do and get my name back!!!.....and keep my monogrammed towels, Ha Ha..
My great grandfather had a brother, and the two of them married Cipponeri sisters. Everybody had the same names.....drive you nuts!!!
At first they used Bagnasco Funeral home only , then I heard someone had a difference of opinion and after that they all use...to this day only Calcaterra. Now there is Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral home as they joined up....so much Italian Fury!!

RE: THOMAS PICKENS
I read your dad's info...my dad was in North Africa, Palestine & Italy. My uncle Robert Milton Long Jr. Was in England when your dad was there, so it is possible that they met while there.
I don't know where he was while there though...I will ask my cousin if he know.

RE: THOMAS PICKENS
You are correct...my mother was Elma Doris Pickens. I have been working on ancestry for since about 2009, although I have not done much in the last year or so due to illness.
My husband hails from the Cloptons, which I see is your family as well.
I think you are correct, we are 7th. Cousins, but I get confused easily when it comes to cousin relations.
I would be glad to invite you to my pages, if interested...let me know.

RE: THOMAS PICKENS
Hello-
Thomas Pickens was my great uncle. My mother was a Pickens and Tom was my grandfather's younger brother.
Very confusing....I think this is the Tom Pickens you are referring to.
I think you work on ancestry.com...I have seen your name???
Carolyn

How you doing??

I have Vecchione..........I have seen similar Vicchione, but I believe hers was Vecchione.

To make sure you could ask the funeral home. They give the info that is on the death certificates.
