RE: POMA
How you doing??

I have Vecchione..........I have seen similar Vicchione, but I believe hers was Vecchione.

To make sure you could ask the funeral home. They give the info that is on the death certificates.

The info I have on this Poma is: Name Salvatore Poma, b. 15 Oct 1903 in Italy, son of Vito Poma & Francesca Scarcella; married 07 Nov 1925 in Detroit to Giovanna Cortese (she was the daughter of Giuseppe Cortese & Maria Torrebreuno).

Not known to be related to me.

Poma
Great William. You may have had to collect all the Poma's (like me) to untangle who is who. If you don't mind, I will send you my notes if any, on to you. Maybe between the two of us we can get it all straight.

Vito Poma child
Now I also had a great uncle, Vito Poma, (sibling to the Giuseppe Poma before mentioned) married to Maria Amico, they also had a child, Vito Poma, that was born and died very young, abt. 1910, believed to be buried at Mt. Olivet. This couple in addition had a daughter Josephine that is buried there, 27 Dec 1922-13 Aug 1931.

RE: # 109160610 Vito Poma
This child was the son of my great uncle, Giuseppe Poma. He also came to America with his family and had a couple of children in Detroit. However, he returned to Sicily and remained there having a total of 13 children. His remaining siblings (six) continued to live in Michigan. The children of this above great uncle of mine were the ones I visited when I went to Sicily to dig up my roots.

Was this child, Vito, born 19 Jan 1912 and died 08 Mar 1913 at Childrens Hospital of the measles? Son of Joseph Poma and wife Giuseppa Messina?

Bill, I'm not sure these folks are Haydena's parents. My records say they are Judge E A Read and Lucille Cherry Read. I'm gonna research a little further before I add them. Thank you.
