Jay,
Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to me to know that we have helped someone. Thank you for that. I went back and noticed that I had Byron listed as dying in 1915....where that came from I'll never know, but I did correct it thanks to the obit you posted. Thank you for letting me know about Nova. I appreciate it. I haven't been able to do much since my stroke, but still enjoy doing the research when I can. Thanks again, Nancy

You are welcome. I wanted to mention that there are duplicates of Mccartney Find a Grave memorials in this cemetery, spelling of name differs; "Mccartney" vs. "McCartney".

RE: Harris Photo
Glad I could help. I also added the photo to the Clarence and Stanley Harris pages and created a page for Frances Harris and put the photo on it as well. William already had a photo of the whole stone on his page but it was fun finding the grave anyway.
If you know of a family member that would like to take over the Frances Harris page I will gladly transfer it.
I can also say that not even the cemetery records have any information about dates of birth or death for Norma Harris who is also on that stone. Tom

Marthena Henson Clabaugh
Nancy Pond Mitchell
Jay I spent this past weekend end seeking out our 5 times Grandmother, Nancy Pond and Grandfather, Cooney Mitchell. Nancy was the mom of Georgiana who was the mother of Scott Milam. He was the father of my grandmother Ruby Marthena Owens Trammell. With out the grace of God and several very generous people we would never have found Grandmother Nancy. The cemetery where she is completely over grown. It is now under new owner ship as of the last 8 months. But the foreman has given me permission to come any time, my goal is to clean up the area as best we can. He says that the graves will remain where they are. I am thinking of going back in the fall or early winter, to avoid the snacks and clean it up;

William Turner Moore update
Hello Jay: thanks for the prompt attention you gave our request to add a note regarding Victoria McMullan being William's first wife. It was important as our link is through their child Ora "Montie" Moore.

Thanks too for all your efforts to date - the volunteers on this sight and everyone who contributes links, photos, or walks the cemeteries are much appreciated.

You are quite welcome. I am glad you were interested in what I found out. I was not sure rather to send the information and let you know. You might want to know that her family is part of the Belle Plain Cemetery group and she will always be part of the cemetery, even though she is not buried there.

Edith L. Mitchell McElrath - 132395986
Hi, my name is Pat Collins and I have fallen onto some information about Edith that I was not sure you knew about. I found a request for a picture on a Miller this past week or so and in getting ready to go out to Belle Plain cemetery, I checked the list to see if there were any other Miller's out there. I like to do all of the family when going out and not just one headstone. Anyway, I saw that Edith has find a grave site for Belle Plain, but is not in our list of people buried there. So I checked it out while I was out there and could not find one for her. As we do have a lot of unmarked graves, I asked her uncle this week-end at the Fish Fry the cemetery has every Halloween night.
I was told that Edith is not buried in the cemetery. When she died her body was cremated. Then there was a memorial service out at Belle Plain Cemetery. After the service, her ashes were taken to the place she loved at San Saba River and put into the river.
I did not want to change your memorial site with an edit, but I thought you might want to know what happen to Edith.

Relationship?
Jay,
I appreciate you transferring my parents memorials to me. I see in your bio that you list an "Owens" in your ancestry. My maternal grandmother was Ruby (Owens) Trammell (46141806). Do you know how you are related to her and to me? Feel free to email me directly @ terrystricklandemail@gmail.com.

Thanks again,

Terry Strickland
