|Dave||RE: "Six Nights In Telergma" crew|
Hi, Mark -
My apologies - I just saw your message.
Glad I could help.
Interesting - in all my readings about the 390th, I don't seem to remember your father-in-law. I'll have to do some research on him.
Take care -

|Blarghmeister||RE: Danish graves|
I see. I go back home in a couple of days but would like to move back to the Johnson County area on a permanent basis to help my parents they are kind of old now haha. In that event, i want to see about visiting graves of family every year and maybe restoring a couple. the weather has taken its toll on a few of them. Let me know if you have any ideas and you're always free to call me.

I learned something rather distressing. the graves of our ancestors in Denmark is a crap shoot. the poorer faction there has to either pay to upkeep their graves or cancel them and most elect to "cancel". Whatever that means. I'm of the opinion that they remove the headstone. If I find out anything else about this practice I will let you know. _Connie

|Dave||Hiram C. Skogmo memorial|
Hi, Mark -
I am friends with the niece of Jack Fariss and this is one of my favorite B-17 crews.
You have some of the crew names wrong on the crew photo.
Front left to right is: Irving R. Lifson - Navigator; Hiram C. Skogmo - Pilot; Alvin Jaspers - Co-pilot; Merle M. Cloud -Bombardier.
These names were incorrect in a book, and I can't remember which one, but I assure you that I am correct.
The names of the crew in the back row are correct.
Thank you for your time.

I almost want to say that Everyone is buried at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. My grandfather took me up there when I was a kid to look at the family plot. He also showed me Klaus' grave and Fredericks. I can have my mom check into this if you want. Love Connie

Thanks for transferring the memorials. I have updated the family links and deleted the extra memorial for Marilyn.
Thanks again for creating these to begin with. I would have been forever trying to find their graves.

Thank you for creating the memorials for Orland (Find A Grave Memorial# 33841792), Mirth(Memorial# 33841936) and their daughter Marilyn(Memorial# 33841833). Auntie Mirth was my Grandmothers sister.
Do you have a family connection to the Hanshaw's? Would it be possible for you to add the family links for these 3 memorials. Orland (spouse and father), Mirth (spouse and mother) and Marilyn (daughter).
I would also like to see links to Mirth's parents Ed Barnett (Memorial# 114074681) and Sarah (Memorial# 114076340).
If you have no family connection and would like to transfer management of these memorials, I would be happy to take over maintenance.

I see by your photo that you are flying in something. Are you a pilot? My grandfather built airplanes for a living (he also flew them). I'm an instructor pilot in the Army. Flying is what I love to do. Thanks again for your kind help.

Thanks for doing this. I was very surprised to see my grandparents grave marker in this database. I recognized it immediately. I live in Alabama and I'm never able to get to California to visit the grave. What a grate surprise for a Sunday.
