As with any genealogical data verify any research prior to using it yourself.

Military grave markers carry a military rate or rank. The designation is the last military rate while in service not used after military service unless retired or KIA.

My appreciation to all who leave flowers/tokens on my family and friends' memorials or take the time to honor photo requests.

My grateful thanks to Findagrave for providing a place to preserve our cemetery headstone data. Thank you to all the wonderful individuals who contribute not only their time and energy but expense in locating and transcribing cemetery data. Here we can help preserve the memories and images of our family and friends, and we help strangers to us but not to those that find their family and friends among these web pages.

I encourage corrections and/or suggestions for updates. Any edit requests may take up to a month to make but most are completed quicker.

Most memorials I add are works in progress and I am always looking for links and additional information about them. Let's never forget our family and friends. Please leave flower tokens so I can tell that they have been visited.

Please consider setting up a virtual cemetery for your family members. Any memorial can be entered into this virtual cemetery so you can have all your family together. Having someone in your family genealogy is not grounds for a memorial transfer. With thousands of contributors, there are many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Currently live in Walker County Georgia. This web site has helped me find many places I have been looking for. Thanks Find-a-Grave.

Researching Bishop's family from Magee / Mendenhall, Simpson County, Mississippi and Jones' family from Ellisville, Mississippi.
My Bishop family line is me, Walter R, T. Melvin, T. Webster, T. Spencer, Josiah, and Ezekiel Bishop. The "T" stands for Tillmon, Tilman, Tillman, etc.
