Check vs. Chek
Hi! I had a case where half the family used one spelling, while another used the other! Thanks for letting us know. You might want to put a disclaimer msg. on the memorial for her and her husband, e,g.

(for bio section)

LAST NAME SPELLING DISCREPANCY: The grave marker spells the last name as "Check," but the other members of the family spell their last name as "Chek." IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO SHARE, PLEASE CLICK ON “EDIT” TAB, ABOVE.

That might do it! :)

Thanks! I might have more Hickok information for you, if you're researching that side. I sent an email, so check your spam if you don't see it.

Andrew Smith III & Anna Meschon Smith
Researching this couple buried in Hopewell NJ to determine whether they are the parents of Jemima Smith Merrill, wife of Capt. Benjamin Merrill, who was hanged as a Regulator in 1771 in Chapel Hill NC. Jemima and her children were mentioned in her father's Will which was signed 17 Oct 1784 in Hopewell. Can you help?

Love the photo that you uploaded of her. Do you happen to have any photos of her siblings? My husband is her brother Barzillai's great great great grandson, and I think I may have a photo of Barzillai, but am unsure.

Frances & Ray Meyers
Hello again, would it be alright if you transferred both my Aunt Frances and Uncle Ray?
Thank you

Raymond Meyers Jr.
I was wondering what your relationship with Ray and Frances Meyers was. They were my Aunt and Uncle.
I was just at Gate of Heaven this morning and stopped to see them. I took a picture today as well. Is it ok to put it up?

Leo Betz
I was researching a specific branch of my family when I landed on the FindAGrave page for Leo Betz. Didn't know anything about FindAGrave and it didn't click right away when I read that he was your great-grandfather. I thought...that's interesting...he's my great-grandfather, too! Anyway, once I got my bearings I realized you were Leopold's granddaughter...I'm his sister Helen's granddaughter. I have some info I'd like to add/correct on Helen's memorial...still not sure what is the best way to do this.

Mahlon Clark
I don't have an actual copy of his obit. I believe that when I read the newspaper microfilm, I just took a brief note. However, I will be at the New Castle Library within the next several weeks and will endeavor to obtain a transcript for you. I don't have the facility to sent a picture of the obit, but I can do a transcription. Paul Myers

Today, based on documents that I have found I have definitively determined that Maj. Barna is in fact my wife's Uncle. If you would be so kind, I would like to accept management of his Memorial. Would you be so kind as to transfer the Memorial to me.. Thanks for your consideration

No, problem. I had forgotten about it and had to look her up to remember the facts. When I did I found she needs to be in the Liberty Baptist Church Community Cemetery in Mossy Creek, White County. Cemetery number 2375562. My problem. I should have told you White County. There are two cemeteries there, one behind the church and one along side the church. There were many people in the wrong one. Thanks for helping getting them all correct.

Now I wonder who made the error. The person who wrote the obit? or the person who buried her? Someone was wrong. The photos don't lie!!
