|Susan Stewart-Turnbull||Fred Stockman|
I have accepted a request to photograph Fred Stockman's grave at Union Cemetery, here in Bakersfield. However, as I always check the listing before I go there, I discovered there's already a photograph of the grave on his memorial. Is there a reason you would like another?

|O. Fry||Re: Nathan F. Sweat|
You have only nine of Charity & Nathan's children listed. According to the Sweat Family Bible, you left out Elizabeth b. 1/11/1824 d. 9/3/1838; Cassie b. 12/1/1837 d. 9/10/1847; and Randall b.? 1842 no death date shown.
Also, you show Thomas Francis Marion Sweat as a child of Nathan & Charity; he was their grandson.
Their daughter Eady married Thomas Sweat (b. 1/21/1822 d. 10/1/1849) on 12/24/1845 by Rev. Henderson. Eady and her two children, Thomas Francis Marion and Julia were in her parents household in the 1850 census because Thomas died in 1849. In the family bible, it states that these two are the children of Thomas & Eady.

Question?? Have you actually physically seen this grave? The reason I'm asking is that I'm reasonably sure this is my cousin, but the Census' show he was born between 1889-1890
His mother was Daphney Bias-Benjamin-Humins.
His father was James Benjamin.
I'm just trying to determine whether this is their son Eddie Bias. :-)

I went to Rector Cemetery looking for the photo requests, and didn't have any luck finding your Pulliams. Down the road a bit I came across Liberty Church Cemetery. There I found Sarah, William & Bertha! Also, an Ewell Pulliam, son of W.J. & S., b&d 1902. Didn't find James....maybe the same boy?

Since I've never submitted a "famous" grave before I am not sure what to expect. But it's been five days now and no word from Find A Grave, and no designation of famous status for Mayor Tanzler.

Thank you for the wonderful information and the time that you have taken to post all the information on find a grave. My great great grandpa James F Bethel is the brother of Charles Walter Bethel. Reading the incredible lives that they had is unreal. My father Wilbur Charles Francis Bethel passed away in 1981 when I was 15 years old. From that day forward my siblings were disconnected from that side of the family. We live in California and that was just the way my mom did things. I am now 46 years old have 2 children and 1 grandson. I have been working on the family tree and want my children to know their ancestry. The stories that you have posted are just incredible and I appreciate them very much. Thank You so much!!

Claudia, if any of the other Johnson Family members buried in the Webber Campground Cemetery are related to your family, make Memorial pages for them and post the request at Find A Grave or e-mail me and I will add Memorial Stone photos for them. Always a pleasure to serve, Jo Anne

You are welcome. The gravestone pictures have the grave section and plot. If you click on the picture you can see it.
You will need a cemetery map, and even then it is difficult to locate a grave. The staff will help if you decide to visit.

|Irene Smith-Rice||Catherine DeMott|
Hi Claudia, You requested the full transcript from Catherine's grave. I have a better picture and tried to add it to her memorial but it is too big so I'm typing it here:
This stone is erected by her fond parents as a tribute of respect due to the virtues of the deceased.
From her amiable disposition, her love & obedience to her parents & love for religion she endeared herself to all who knew her and no doubt is enjoying the company of the spirits of the just made perfect in that land of pure delight, where saints immortal reign.
Let me know if you want the picture sent to your personal email address. Irene
