Virgil/Vivian Garlan Sutton
Thank you very much for posting this memorial. I have submitted full dates through the edit link.

Additionally, I note the sentence that his name was incorrect, confirmed by cemetery records. I tend to believe those records are incorrect. Vivian was the brother of my aunt by marriage, Loda Mae Sutton Johnston. I knew her well. His name in family records, SS Death Index and the California Death Index all list him as Vivian Garlan (no d) Sutton.

Thanks for considering.

RE: MV Inglet
Hello ~ you mentioned in your last post to me that you wanted to check a couple links and would get back to me in a day or two. I wasn't sure what you were going to check, but since I haven't heard, wanted to follow-up with you. Is there other information that you have to share?

Also, may I ask where you found his name to be "Marian V"? I don't believe that is correct. We have a family name that has been used in several generations - 'Martin Van Buren' and in a book his sister wrote about our Inglet family heritage, she wrote, "Yes, MY MV was named for Martin Van Buren, our great-grandpa, although only MV shows on his birth certificate."

Unless you have some documentation to dispute that fact, would you please correct the name and share the information with me?

Thank you,
Betty (my mother & MV were cousins)

RE: Kennedy Burying Ground
Nice to hear from you Linda. I don't know if you have been to the Kennedy burying ground. My interest stems from the fact that I was born and raised in St. Louis and am a direct descendant of Sarah Kennedy daughter of Tom Kennedy and Sarah Gibson Kennedy who lived and owned the property where the cemetery is located and who are buried there. As an old family cemetery, this place was starting to get in disrepair. Fortunately I was in touch with a local named Jerry Prouhet who does renovations and did the Kennedy place at his own time and expense and also did a wonderful job. I have your Soloman in my database but not with much info except that I just found the great picture of him on Ancestry. My son just had a son and named him Gibson, without my influence no less. Good Morning John,

Sorry I didn't include the source, since I am a stickler for just that, it was multiple sources, CADI, SSDI death notice etc.

He is a distant relative but he is fine with you although I would send another edit if I dig up more, so either way is okay with me,

Thanks you for updating the memorial and in such a timely manner, I appreciate it.

RE: Photo Request for A. Brown
WOW, I must have been having a brain fart or something. I can't tell you why I requested a photo for Irene. The Only thing I can think of is that a couple weeks ago, when I was looking at Find A Grave, photo's were not showing up, so maybe I thought there wasn't one. I work on my tree late at night so who knows what I was thinking. Thank you so much for your time and I apologize for any inconvenience.

Blessings to you for all you do!
Kim Backus Lussier

oh, I would love to maintain Irene's memorial page if you are so inclined. :)

What a nice message, it is always nice to get positive reinforcement. I feel a personal responsibility for the memorials I enter, which is why I have stopped creating new memorials so I can work on giving those I already have a real "story".

Thank you for the offer to transfer, they are not related just happened on them in the El Dorado County Cemetery Book that I own.

Let me know if I can help with any memorials in that area.

Joseph James Settera
Joseph's wife is in the same cemetery. His findagrave no. is 95826589 and hers is 95827510.

She is buried as Celia M Settera.
Her maiden name is not clear. One document shows her as Celia Meline (Sic) Skoglund BUT that may be her first marriage name.
Her CA death index says
Mother's Maiden Name: Anderson
Father's Surname: Melin
So it seems she was born Celia (Cecilia) Melin.

My name is Warren Larson and the Seteras or Setteras are relatives.
I see you are cemetery angels who are priceless for people like me.
Keep up the good work.
Warren

Robert Kennedy
Thank you for the compliment!

Robert was just recently added to the Civil War Veterans list for Orange County. The Orange County California Genealogical Society (OCCGS) has been digging deeper into the Census records (plus my Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) organization came up with another burial list last year) to come up with another 50 or so new names that I have been working on locating this year and putting GPS coordinates on these graves. If you "click" on the grave photo for Robert that I placed on FindAGrave, you will see the GPS coordinates for his grave.

The OCCGS is also doing biographies on all of the known Civil War Veterans buried in Orange County. It is a work in progress located at:
http://occgs.com/projects/civil_war/cw_index.html

RE: Pictures-Susan Amanda January McConnell
About 20 to 25 percent of the people in the cemetery are related to my wife. So the last time I was up there I photographed most of the cemetery. The put the photos on Find A Grave. From there I researched to see you was related to my wife. But I am not finding a McConnell in my wives family tree. I live in Arkansas so all I know about is my wives family. Wish I could have helped.

RE: Photos
You are very welcome John, the problem with the cemeteries in Antrim is that there in no longer a Methodist Cemetery as I said it's now called the Community Cemetery and there is a Union Presbyterian Cemetery and a Presbyterian Cemetery. When I started searching for the Methodist Cemetery in Antrim and couldn't find it I went to the county library and was told about the name switch. I just worry about people traveling to find their kin and not knowing of the cemetery name change.

James & Phebe Stockdale
I have taken a picture of the headstone of James & Phebe Stockdale and they aren't buried at Methodist Cemetery but at Community Cemetery in Antrim. I talked to the lady at our genealogy department in the Guernsey County, Ohio library and there is no Methodist Cemetery in Antrim as I had searched for it and she should know she lives in Antrim. If you make a memorial for James & Phebe Stockdale I would be glad to post the pictures for you or if you want I'll make the memorial. Also Charles and Martha Bond are buried at Community Cemetery and I have there picture.
