Thank you for noting the work at Riverview Cemetery. It has been a joy to receive word from folk who have found loved ones in this cemetery.

Avis Van Pelt
Hello. Thank you so much for creating a memorial to my Aunt Avis # 74648146. I was curious if you could connect her memorial with her parents (my great grandparents). Her father was James Myers # 76938363 her mother Regina Myers # 76938658. Thank you.

WILLIAM L. BARNES
Are you by any chance related to, William L. Barnes? I saw that you created his memorial for the Cannon Cemetery. I'm not, but he is buried next to my Uncle Frank Miller and I always heard that the funeral home got their headstones mixed up. Wanted to know if that was true.

I will go back and look again in a couple of weeks. I will ask the office for a map of the Section if I can.. It depends on what clerk is at the desk. Some are nice and some are not so nice..

My apologies, you were right, I went back to my notes and saw some of the families research and forgot to rectify it.

From History of Henry County, in article about David Whitmore: son of John Whitmore, ... , and grandson of Jacob Whitmore, both natives of Pennsylvania, of which state his ancestors were pioneers. They were of German descent. According to Paul Harmon (1997): From History of Jefferson County, Ohio, pg. 207, Proposed roads: December 1806 -- Beginning at the town of New Salem (now Annapolis), past farm of george PFAUTZ, past farms of David CUSTARD, Daniel BAIR, then down the knottenhead (Conotton Creek) past sugar camp to mouth of Alder Lick Fork, to intersect the Charles Town Road. David Larson
Good morning - I have an Uncle Davis Carl Larson buried in the same cemetery as David Larson. They both were born in 1923 and died in 2011. I am trying to ensure it is not the same person. You can see Davis's FindAGrave if you search on him. Can you let me know if David is a different person than Davis. There are just too many coincidences as far as name, date of birth and death. Thanks.

Tim

Virgil/Vivian Garlan Sutton
Thank you very much for posting this memorial. I have submitted full dates through the edit link.

Additionally, I note the sentence that his name was incorrect, confirmed by cemetery records. I tend to believe those records are incorrect. Vivian was the brother of my aunt by marriage, Loda Mae Sutton Johnston. I knew her well. His name in family records, SS Death Index and the California Death Index all list him as Vivian Garlan (no d) Sutton.

Thanks for considering.

RE: MV Inglet
Hello ~ you mentioned in your last post to me that you wanted to check a couple links and would get back to me in a day or two. I wasn't sure what you were going to check, but since I haven't heard, wanted to follow-up with you. Is there other information that you have to share?

Also, may I ask where you found his name to be "Marian V"? I don't believe that is correct. We have a family name that has been used in several generations - 'Martin Van Buren' and in a book his sister wrote about our Inglet family heritage, she wrote, "Yes, MY MV was named for Martin Van Buren, our great-grandpa, although only MV shows on his birth certificate."

Unless you have some documentation to dispute that fact, would you please correct the name and share the information with me?

Thank you,
Betty (my mother & MV were cousins)

RE: Kennedy Burying Ground
Nice to hear from you Linda. I don't know if you have been to the Kennedy burying ground. My interest stems from the fact that I was born and raised in St. Louis and am a direct descendant of Sarah Kennedy daughter of Tom Kennedy and Sarah Gibson Kennedy who lived and owned the property where the cemetery is located and who are buried there. As an old family cemetery, this place was starting to get in disrepair. Fortunately I was in touch with a local named Jerry Prouhet who does renovations and did the Kennedy place at his own time and expense and also did a wonderful job. I have your Soloman in my database but not with much info except that I just found the great picture of him on Ancestry. My son just had a son and named him Gibson, without my influence no less.
