My name is Judith and I live in Oregon, in the Columbia River Gorge. I've been doing genealogy off and on for 25 years, but just recently began looking for tombstones, mostly because many of my ancestors were lonely: they had no other illustrations to look at in their file!

All of my lines eventually ended up in southeastern Indiana and southwestern Ohio. Many of them came from the British Isles: English Friends, Scotch-Irish, a few Welsh. Others came from Germany, Holland, and Switzerland. Most exotic were the Gennetts, originally from Italy, who moved from Nashville to Richmond, Indiana to manufacture Starr pianos and landmark recordings.

1. I have taken a number of photos in three Oregon Counties:
a.Upper Valley in Hood River County and
b.Moro in Sherman County
c.St Peters and Park Lawn in The Dalles, right here in Wasco County! I am currently chipping away at the "Odd Fellows" on Cherry Heights. Tegan the Dog loves to run around there...

2. I've also added data from several cemeteries in Wayne Co., Indiana, noted as (HRG, 1948). These were surveyed by my grandmother Hazel Reid Gennett in the 1940s and I am using her hand written notes. I am hoping that this will fill in for stones that may no longer be there, or are hard to read. Sometimes it is a little hard to read her writing, too!
The records from the Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana are probably transcribed from the cemetery records rather than tombstones. That place is huge!

3. I've also done a little work of my own in Wayne County, including part of section 6 at Earlham and about half of East Cemetery in Dublin.

4. St Mary's, Bridgetown, Barbados. What better activity on a Caribbean Cruise?
