Hi. We're having a hard time telling the different Lovina Machamers apart. Can you tell me, please, where you found the information that this one was 10yrs old? Thank you. She may have been the child of John and Rachel, but we thought she was an infant.

Hi Jason;
I first want to thank you for all your hard work! I am writing to you to ask if there may be a mistake on Adam's death date. Is it on the tombstone as 1 May 1956? I think I found him in the death index on and they have it listed as 1 April 1956. I am just wondering if they made a mistake in their transcribing or if maybe you might have. If it is on the tombstone I will leave it as May. Please let me know one way or the other. Thank you again for all that you do. Denise Armstrong

Thank you, Jason, for ALL of your contributions to the Find A Grave community, especially your work at Liberty Cemetery. I am very interested in the family of John Baughman (98599585), though not directly related. I am trying to link him, as a brother, to Rachel Baughman Viers (1841-1917). I am hoping John's obit may name her as a sister. IF you ever get to the Stark County Library, I would be most grateful if you would check for an obit for John Baughman. He died Dec 14, 1914, in Carroll County, but was buried in Liberty Cemetery, with several Baughman family members.Thank you for your courtesies.

Winifred Lloyd
Is there any chance of you transferring the ownership of Winifred and Thomas B Lloyd to me? These were my great parents and I would love to be able to add the other children to their list. Thank you.

Duplicate Memorials
Hi Jason,
It has been brought to my attention that there are duplicate memorials for my relatives, Charles E and Mary L Memmer. You created memorials for them in 2011, while the ones I currently maintain were created in 2009.

I'm wondering if you would consider deleting your memorials for them. I believe the memorial number for Mary Memmer is 66813520 and for Charles is 66813517.

I believe the memorials I maintain have all the information contained in the memorials you created [and more], but would be glad to add anything I'm missing.

If my suggestion doesn't work for you, please let me know. Hopefully we can work out a way to eliminate duplicated memorials.

Greens gravestone photos

I appreciate you taking the time and effort to take the pictures of the Green family gravestones for me. The pictures have been helpful for my family research and I appreciate your efforts for me and also the many contributions you've made to Find A Grave (over 60,000 memorials!). I see your name a lot when I'm roaming around Find A Grave.

Thanks again,

Arthur Bernard
I am doing research on my family and came across the obituary for Arthur Bernhard in the 8 November 1947 Dunkirk Evening Observer. The article was dated Saturday 8 November indicating that he had died the evening before on the 7th. The Findagrave date of death, 10 November 1947, is apparently the day he was interred, not the date he died. Please correct. Terry Boyd

Ralph Oyster
Hi Jason,

Ralph Oyster was the brother of my grandfather, Walter Edward Oyster. I have given information to the woman who maintains his record, and suspect the link will appear today.

May 22, 1894 Salem News
Ralph Oyster, the six-year-old son of Edward Oyster residing two miles north-east of Alliance, while swinging in the barn with a friend last Sunday fell seven feet, injuring his head and sustaining other injuries which rendered him unconscious and the child has been in that condition ever since. His recovery is doubtful.

Further, I can help you decipher the rest of the information on the tombstone. If you know what you are looking for, I think you can read it, also.

Ralph and Walter's father was Edward Pettit Oyster. Edward P. was born May 16, 1860, in Mahoning County, OH. He died Jan. 6, 1939 at Marietta, OH. He married Dec. 25, 1883, or possibly 1884 (the records are not concise).

The bride was Margaret "Maggie" Watson. She was born November 26, 1851, at Gold Mine Gap in Lebanon County, PA. This was a coal mining town that disappeared when the mine played out.

In June of 1860 the family was living in Schuylkill Co., PA, where the father was working in another coal mine. In 1864 the family moved to Deerfield Township, Portage County. In the 1880 census Margaret is living with her parents and is listed as a school teacher. The family also lived in Smith Township, Mahoning County, where Oyster Road is located northeast of Alliance. Maggie died on October 18, 1937, and is buried at the Alliance City Cemetery.

Would you create records for the parents? More will follow from obituary and burial records....
