Myers Family from Cambria County Pa
Jason, I read that you are researching the Myers family of Cambria County, Pa. I believe that is the same family that married into my Richards family from Cambria County, Pa. I was just back there in July photographing headstones.

Hey Jason,

I happened to be in the area and stopped by to take this picture, so no need for you to go to the cemetery for it!

Thanks for all of your help, and all of your generosity to the FindAGrave community!

I have sent transfer request twice for the following family members Ernest 74330221, Alberta 74330220, Harry 74330219, Twila 74330218, Delmas 74330091, and Thomas 80433898. These are all relatives that I would like to maintain their memorials and link the ones together where you own both people. I currently maintain their actual cemetery stones/markers at the cemeteries and Ernest, Alberta, Harry/Twila markers at Fairmount have recently been raised per my request/expense. I currently have a work order in at Fairmount for Delmas/Erna's (and another relative's) markers to be raised also. Please consider a transfer of these family members to me.

Waynesburg Cemetery
Good afternoon Jason,
Do you have any contact information for Waynesburg Cemetery? I believe Benjamin Fiscus memorial #115618975 is my 3x great grandfather but some of the information doesn't make sense. If he is my ancestor and died in 1862 then based on his baptism record he would have been 68 instead of 76 (although I know the information back then was only as accurate as the person providing it) also, the GAR reference doesn't make sense as the GAR came about several years after Benjamin's death. Do you have any copies of the cemetery records used to create this memorial?

Also, maybe you could help locate his wife Catharine Fiscus (could be spelled Fiskus in cemetery records) who died in 1876 in Carroll County, not sure where she is buried (maybe near their daughters) two of their daughters, Jemima and Rebecca (neither was ever married) are buried in Valley Street Cemetery and another, Christine Swan, is buried at Old Sandyville.

John Shearer- Mapleton Cemetery
I am a distant relative of John Shearer. I have been looking at the information regarding him and his 2 wives, Elizabeth Singhaus and Elisabeth Kieffer. Are there 2 separate tombstones for his wives? Or are they both on the same tombstone with John? It's hard to tell from the photos as the stone is worn.

I believe that Elizabeth Singhaus was his FIRST wife and Elisabeth Kieffer was his SECOND wife.

Per this info in "History of Crawford County and Ohio," published by Baskin and Battey, Historical Publishers, page 901.

"...John and Elizabeth (Singhaus) Sherer, were both natives of the "Keystone State," where they were married and resided until 1813, when they came to Stark County, Ohio. The wife died March 1, 1815 and Mr. Sherer was subsequently married to a Miss {Elisabeth} Kieffer. By his first marriage there were four children, and by the second, eleven. He died Sept 20, 1871, and his wife {Elizabeth Kieffer} Oct. 26, 1864."

Hi again. These two were siblings of my gg grandparents? I posted them in 2010, so yours are duplicates.

Anna Brantingham
Mary Anna Painter Brantingham, wife of Samuel Brantingham, was my husband's great grandfather. I have her posted as such on Findagrave. However, she was called Anna or Annie, so you duplicated her, since that was on her tombstone. If you delete her posting, that would correct the duplication.

Than you.

RE: Memorial# 65114462
There is a problem somewhere with those records. We have family information that she was born 18 March 1836, 10 months old at time of death. If, as the records you quoted are correct, her mother would only have been 11 years old when Lovina was born.

Fred Ball, 114184983
Hi Jason, Fred was the oldest cousin of my grandmother, Ruth Holly (Ball) Radcliffe. His parents were Lewis Marshall Ball and Hattie (Urmson) Ball. My grandma wrote, "He was a cripple and always walked with crutches. He was Uncle Marshall's only child. One winter we traded our house in Jamestown with Fred Ball and his grandparents, the Urmsons."

Hi. We're having a hard time telling the different Lovina Machamers apart. Can you tell me, please, where you found the information that this one was 10yrs old? Thank you. She may have been the child of John and Rachel, but we thought she was an infant.

Adam H Johnson # 75345425
Hi Jason;
I first want to thank you for all your hard work! I am writing to you to ask if there may be a mistake on Adam's death date. Is it on the tombstone as 1 May 1956? I think I found him in the death index on and they have it listed as 1 April 1956. I am just wondering if they made a mistake in their transcribing or if maybe you might have. If it is on the tombstone I will leave it as May. Please let me know one way or the other. Thank you again for all that you do. Denise Armstrong

Thank you, Jason, for ALL of your contributions to the Find A Grave community, especially your work at Liberty Cemetery. I am very interested in the family of John Baughman (98599585), though not directly related. I am trying to link him, as a brother, to Rachel Baughman Viers (1841-1917). I am hoping John's obit may name her as a sister. IF you ever get to the Stark County Library, I would be most grateful if you would check for an obit for John Baughman. He died Dec 14, 1914, in Carroll County, but was buried in Liberty Cemetery, with several Baughman family members.Thank you for your courtesies.
