Tori....I have contacted family in Danville and Robert's partner (Carl) died before Robert, and his ashes were scattered. I am assuming that Robert was buried with Carl's family when Robert died later!

RE: Robert Seilhymer
Tori, Robert (Bobby) was my 1st cousin. I was born in 1935 and lived Danville, but my folks moved to California when I was 12. I'm still there. I've been back to visit a time or two, but lost contact with Bobby. Let me see if anyone back there knows why he would have been buried with the Martins. I'll pass on anything I find....Don

RE: Robert Seilhymer
Tori....1st all, thank you for this 'heads up'! The death date I listed came from SS Death Index. The Pape Funeral Home Database, in Danville, does have a death date of 26 May 1988. However, when I checked they had Robert buried at Camargo. I assumed it was the Cemetery, but I was wrong!!...I tried to change the cemetery on my post, but I can't!...Would you be open to transfering your post for Robert to me, then I can post all the relatives info that I have on my post to it, and delete my post!.....Don, and again..Thanks!

Tori, You were kind enough to transfer the Hazlett family members months ago. Jessie was my grandmother Hazlett's younger sister, there are ten more siblings. I have them all but one numbered and waiting for six more people to send in their edits linking the children with parents.
Then all but one son will be linked to parents and maternal and fraternal grandparents. Will you consider transferring Jessie Memorial to me. I will be grateful. Thank you, Jean

Earl Thompson
Newman Cemetery
I believe for Thomas James Robertson that you have him living way over 100+ years. You have his birth at 1800. His birth should be 4 Feb 1880.
I thank you for having his name and his brother's Albert Galatin Robertson who was born 16 Dec 1874 in Indianola, Vermilion, IL Thomas James Robertson was also born in same place as Albert.
Mary Angeline Thompson Robertson is the daughter of Josiah Thompson and Elvira Louisa McMullen and she was born in Dearborn County, Indiana on 24 Jul 1855 and died 1925 as you have indicated.
Thanks again for putting them on the Newman Cemetery site. Sure appreciate you taking the time to do it.
Josiah Thompson and Elvira McMullen is my family line. Earl Thompson

Samuel & Louiza
Briefly, Samuel has three mother-in-laws. each being the spouse of John Shipley on paper.
Mary Rawlings marriage 24 May 1847,
Marry Rolland both from Ancestry and Illinois documents.

Mary Rollins as mother on State of Illinois Certificate of Marriage Samuel S. Hazlett and widow Mrs Louisa (Shipley) Davis. 30 Jan 1883

Would you consider removing Louiza's mother and father from her memorial.

Louiza is the mother of Melinda, plus four sons.
only 2 sons can be linked
I am glad the three mother-in-laws surfaced, there is work ahead for me any way. I need the documented line. I sorry this answer took so long. Should I ever find the right Mary I will try to update you. Jean

Recently, I linked Hazlett/Hazelett/Haslet familys. The parents (John Shipley and Mary Rolland) on the above number for Louiza "Eliza" Shipley are not the same that I found years ago. The marriage records in "Illinois marriage to 1850" John Shipley married 24 May 1847 to Mary Rawlings in Illinois, Lawrence County.
I have Rollands in my tree but limited to Arkansas. Will you remove Mary Rolland and replace her with Mary Rawlings. Thank You.

Thornton and "Marie" are my Great Grandparents and it should be noted that while her name on the tombstone says Marie, her name was actually Isa she just didn't like that name, her full name was Isa Marie Menders Ford.

RE: James Murray
Hi Tori,
I am definitely fishing to see if James is there and will delete his memorial if he isn't on her memorial. Logic tells me since she lived all over with her children since his death in 1877, that she went BACK to Illinois to be buried with her husband. She also has a son who died in PA who is buried in that cemetery. Thanks for your help. Jill MacRae

RE: Manerva Adcox
I added the photos. Curious about the spelling of the last name - did it get changed from one generation to the next? I know that happens.

I needed to get out and walking after this horid winter. My family cemeteries are too far away, so I kind of adopted Oakland and Rosedale, since it's only a few blocks from my house. I've been trying to get as many photographed as have memorials.

I have corresponded with some very interesting people along the way. Lots of history in Oakland.

Thanks Tori! I also found James Robert Adcock 1863-1934 and Charlotte A. Adcock 1854-1946 in the same family plot. I assume siblings of Manerva. If you want to add them, I'll add photos.

Thanks for all the work you do on find a grave!

Memorial# 93449638
Hi Tori,
I have a question on Memorial #93449638, Sarah E. Thomas. She was born 19 Dec 1885 died 15 Apr 1895.

I can see the initials J. R. & ??
J. R. would be James Riles Thomas.
?? could be the Harriet Jane Goodwin Thomas that I told you to connect to Sarah.

However, a MC for James & Harriet that I obtained recently has them getting married in 1892. That means he was still married to his first wife, Emma S. Lefter Thomas in 1885.

When you took that photo were you able to make out any of the lettering that would be the wife's initials?

I have been untangling this family one small step and a time.

Don't change any information until we know what it says after the "J. R. &".

Thanks,
Suzanne

Tori, what a beautiful stone that Sam has. Thank you for taking this photo and posting the memorial. I wasn't certain when he was moved from Ohio (after his death) exactly where he was buried.

Thanks Tori. I do appreciate it.

I am still hunting for all of my Thomas'.
Have found 6 of the 12 children, the father and his 2nd wife, but still looking for his first wife.

Need to head to Douglas County this summer. :)
