Gaffney and Wylie
Well, if you come across anything on John Gaffney (1849-1919) I am most interested in his mystery parents/siblings. He's well documented after his marriage to Eliza in 1875 in Garrard County Kentucky, where all the Gaffneys came from. All 3 of Eliza's sisters married a Gaffney brother (so weird!), but I don't believe John was a brother, probably a cousin, but cannot determine his parents. Nobody on Ancestry appears to be researching the Villa Grove Gaffneys at all, either. But any Gaffney or Wylie you come across is likely to be an ancestor of mine from KY. Multiple families moved here in 1904. Hope that helps!

RE: Declined Links?
That's very nice of you to offer. Only if you happen to already be there. Otherwise, my mom and I were planning on making a day of it in the spring. She used to visit her cousins there when she was little, but has never been back as an adult. We're only an hour or so north.

RE: Declined Links?
I re-submitted Campbell Shiplett's info. I am planning a day trip to Villa Grove/Douglas County in the spring to do some research on my Gaffney and Wylie ancestors, so we'll see what else I can find. John Gaffney's parents are still a mystery, so I'm hoping to dig up something there. Thanks for the edits.

Declined Links?
I'm rather new as a Find A Grave Contributor, so please pardon me if this is a dumb question...but I requested a link from my gg grandmother Eliza (Shiplett) Gaffney (#86029121) to her parents, Campbell Shiplett (#100802390) and Sarah "Sally" Poynter Shiplett (#100802744), as well as her marriage year to my gg grandfather, and the whole thing was declined, with only the notation added that said an unknown burial for Sally Shiplett was against policy. Granted, I don't own any of the memorials, but I couldn't find where it was against policy to have a memorial with an (currently) unknown burial. Regardless, if I re-submit the remaining info, can I get the links added? One of Eliza's sisters already has a link on the parents' pages if it matters. Thanks for your time.

Thank you for the transfer on Nelle and John Albert Roberts. You also transfered William G Roberts #128999651, but the William I requested was William Albert Roberts #128999518. Could you do him instead?
Thank you.

Tori....I have contacted family in Danville and Robert's partner (Carl) died before Robert, and his ashes were scattered. I am assuming that Robert was buried with Carl's family when Robert died later!

Tori, Robert (Bobby) was my 1st cousin. I was born in 1935 and lived Danville, but my folks moved to California when I was 12. I'm still there. I've been back to visit a time or two, but lost contact with Bobby. Let me see if anyone back there knows why he would have been buried with the Martins. I'll pass on anything I find....Don

RE: Robert Seilhymer
Tori....1st all, thank you for this 'heads up'! The death date I listed came from SS Death Index. The Pape Funeral Home Database, in Danville, does have a death date of 26 May 1988. However, when I checked they had Robert buried at Camargo. I assumed it was the Cemetery, but I was wrong!!...I tried to change the cemetery on my post, but I can't!...Would you be open to transfering your post for Robert to me, then I can post all the relatives info that I have on my post to it, and delete my post!.....Don, and again..Thanks!

Tori, You were kind enough to transfer the Hazlett family members months ago. Jessie was my grandmother Hazlett's younger sister, there are ten more siblings. I have them all but one numbered and waiting for six more people to send in their edits linking the children with parents.
Then all but one son will be linked to parents and maternal and fraternal grandparents. Will you consider transferring Jessie Memorial to me. I will be grateful. Thank you, Jean

Earl Thompson
Newman Cemetery
I believe for Thomas James Robertson that you have him living way over 100+ years. You have his birth at 1800. His birth should be 4 Feb 1880.
I thank you for having his name and his brother's Albert Galatin Robertson who was born 16 Dec 1874 in Indianola, Vermilion, IL Thomas James Robertson was also born in same place as Albert.
Mary Angeline Thompson Robertson is the daughter of Josiah Thompson and Elvira Louisa McMullen and she was born in Dearborn County, Indiana on 24 Jul 1855 and died 1925 as you have indicated.
Thanks again for putting them on the Newman Cemetery site. Sure appreciate you taking the time to do it.
Josiah Thompson and Elvira McMullen is my family line. Earl Thompson
