Have you heard anything from Find A Grave if they are going to do a sweep of deleting all duplicate photos?

Karen Wiedemann
duplicate photo
Please delete your photo from Memorial #97923154. I accidently transcribed before looking to see if there already was a photo.

Yup, done-done-done with Hammer Town, after 50 years in Ontariariario. Whistler is stunningly beautiful, and although yes, they're having a problem with rain out here this year and there are a _lot_ of wilderness forest fires, the days since Aug 1st/my arrival have been both gorgeously sunny and pleasantly drizzly by turns. You were out this way recently -- you know what I mean, I'm sure :D Am looking for a longer term abode in the mid-Fraser Valley, occ in Sept or Oct. But I've still got loads of Ontario photos and memorials to upload/create, enough for several years!! =])

I would like to point out that you have posted a headstone photo to Robert Henry Shew memorial #149850876 but is for a person named Clark.
Take a look and see if you agree.

Take care, Pat

I transcribed headstone for memorial number 150266635 (William d'arcy boulton). I forgot to add his wife. I added her on my own but don't have the photo. Can you add the photo to 150267160 (Helen Hopkins Boulton)?

I did some transcribing of your pictures but I have a new computer and a few were sent before I was finished. I sent you an edit to add the dates and name.

RE: Transcribing your photos
You're going to have fun with this, once you try it out and see how good it works! My husband and I specifically seek out those old stones now, knowing that most others just pass those hard to read stones by. Let me know if it's working for you! :)

Transcribing your photos
I see you have found some older, hard to read stones.

We have the solution to reading those old heard to read graves and I wanted to share. Many of us have discussed this on the Find a Grave Facebook page as well.

My original post (with pictures on the F.A.G. FB page)
Never leave home without your LED flashlight!
Found this grave today & want to show you all the difference an LED flashlight makes.
From my other post, This is the safest method of reading these old graves and I feel the most effective. We use an LED flashlight, the higher the lumens, the better. The flashlight we use has 1700 lumens. Shine from left to right, at the edge of the grave, the letters pop right out. We have not had to use foil since we've learned this trick. Some folks say use a blacklight, but our regular LED flashlight works. We recently upgraded from an 860 lumen flashlight (EA4) but it worked great as well.
When the sun is too bright, we use our umbrella to provide shade, then light it up.

Thought I'd share, it makes the photos and documenting so much easier and more accurate!

RE: Jane Blair
I submitted the Jane Blair request for a fellow researcher who doesn't use Find A Grave. I don't have his info with me, but recall Jane was buried within another family group, so yes this does sound right. Thanks so much for your help!

If you are doing this Cemetery, you are to be commended. That would be a monumental task.
