Grassy Branch Cemetery
Do you have any idea where the Grassy Branch Cemetery is in Sevier Co., TN. Find A Grave doesn't offer a map.

RE: Thanks
I know that feeling. I have been looking for the death dates and burial sites of my 2nd and 3rd great grandparents (Crosby) for 10 years now. I know about where they should be, but have the same issues with old unmarked stones, as in this area. The county they were in, the court house was destroyed in the civil war and all records were lost. I haven't given up, but it is discouraging.

RE: Whaley Cemetery
I've added the other photos to the remaining head stones at the Whaley family cemetery. There were two I could not figure out, "Our Baby" (Possibly Meredith C Whaley?) and "Mother" and I have not uploaded these two pictures. I also have a picture of the entire cemetery from a short distance away, did you want me to upload this picture somewhere?

This is Mary's birthday! Was she a relative of yours?

Mary Pate
Mary Pate probably does not have a monument. I found her name on a death certificate. Most of the graves are unmarked. I might be able to find it by order of death and could definitely find the area.
I will be conducting a historical tour of Potter's Field on Saturday March 23rd. If you know anything about Mary please add it to her memorial. West Front Street is now beneath Neyland Drive. It was a poor neighborhood next to the river.

J. C. Hooper
W. Reagan, Highland Cem., Lawton, OK
W. Reagan is buried in Block 12, Lot 26, Space 10B. The only marker in the lot is a flat one to the left of the upright headstone on the right side of the photo that I posted of the area. The flat marker says, "Harlan." It is for two members of the Harlan family buried in the lot. I posted a photo as a record that a grave marker photo was requested, and as of Jan. 4, 2014, W. Reagan did not have a grave marker. I'm sorry that it turned out this way.

RE: Henry Cemetery
Yes I have several times in the past 5 days. Let me explain. We just moved here to Gatlinburg about 5 months ago, when I retired. About 2 weeks ago, I signed up on findagrave.com as a volunteer to fill photo requests. There must be thousands of requests in this area. There were a few recent requests for Williams Cemetery, so I headed there for the first time ever, a few days ago. The GPS and map location was for Williams Gate Cemetery, so I ended up there and realized something was wrong. With a little local research I found out Williams Cemetery is in Jones Cove. I was there yesterday filing requests, took pictures of cemetery, etc.

So to answer your question, I had never been to Jones Cove until just the past few days. Beautiful hill country, remote, and everything there is private property, so must be careful.

Williams Cemetery
I took three pictures of Williams Cemetery today and posted them. It takes a day to get approved by findagrave.com. Also, findagrave.com has an incorrect GPS and map for Williams Cemetery. It is actually the location for "Williams Gate Cemetery" a few miles away. I have sent findagrave.com a message about this. "Williams Gate Cemetery" is difficult to get to. Williams Cemetery is beautiful, on top of a bald hill & easy to get to. I did not realize until I got back home that "zero" pictures had been taken of memorials in Williams Cemetery. Next time I am that way, I will take all the pictures.

Sevier
let me know if you do ever get this way, and I will be glad to help you locate some of these cemeteries, as some are hard to find in the Smokey Mountains. Plemmons Cemetery only accessible with a 1/4 to 1/2 mile hike up a beautiful trail. It is beautiful, well preserved old cemetery.
