Calmly Searching
Joshua Martin
Hello,

I believe that Joshua is indeed the son of Sue Ann Martin, however, I am wondering what evidence you might have that she is being buried in Summit Ridge Cemetery.

Everything I have read today states that there was to be a celebration of life for her, none of the articles give reference to a burial location.

Are you by chance related to Sue?

Thanks for your work on this site, and for taking time to send an edit. Please let me know about Sue's burial information so I will be able to proceed with the edit.

Have a great day.

I need more information. My sister's family is Arave, but does that have anything to do with Luren Spencer? What is Lauren's Find A Grave memorial number?

Vernon M. Davis
I searched everywhere online for a document that showed Vernon's middle name. If you have a document with Miller rather than Milton like the history, please let me know. I would like to have the name listed correctly. Is his middle name listed on the marriage record? Thanks so much!

Margaret Ann Miller & Alma Charles Davis family photo
I do have this photo. In fact this is the version that I edited and added the slightly better quality photo of Alma Charles Davis to the lower left corner.

Here is my description for the photo,, which you should probably add to the photo on findagrave:

Margaret Ann Miller and Alma Charles Davis Family - Circa 1908-1910. Photo was taken after Alma Charles Davis died in 1903, so his photo was inserted in the lower left corner when this photo was published in the James Miller Family History, compiled and edited by Nell Creer Frame in 1967. (Note: I replaced the photo of Alma Charles Davis with a crop from a scan of the original photo) Front Row L-R: Lilly Byrl Davis and Vernon Milton Davis. Middle Row seated L-R: Letitia Ann Davis Lant, James Miller Davis, Margaret Ann Miller Davis, Alma Charles Davis Jr, and Margaret Davis Hansen. Back Row L-R: Mary Ellen Davis Evans, Wilma Davis, Howard Lewis Davis, and Farrel Christine Davis. John Archibald Davis died in 1900 and Jane Elizabeth Davis died as an infant in 1891. I am trying to identify the family members by ages and existing photos, so please correct me if I have the wrong photo attached to somebody. Thanks!

Vern Davis
You asked me if I was related to Vern Davis. It turns out that my husband and son are related to the Davis family. My husband was adopted, but through DNA tests (and confirmed by an aunt) we found out that his mother was Margaret Alene Davis. Alene is the daughter of Howard Lewis Davis, who is a brother of Vernon Milton Davis. So Vern Davis is my husband's great uncle.

Also interesting to find out that his mother, Alene Davis was born in Idaho Falls which is where I was born and raised.

Please let me know if you have any photos of Vern and Eva. Thanks!

Good morning. Dwight was my brother-in-law and I created a memorial this morning only to find he already had one. :) Thank you for doing that. I will be submitting a request to link him to his parents Helmer and Jean Gylling. Take care.

Douglas Sidney McDowell
Thanks for the information on the possible duplicate memorials for Douglas Sidney McDowell. Cemetery records for Forest Lawn Cemetery (Find A Grave Memorial# 135738546) indicated that he was buried there, but the Arlington Cemetery record has a picture of his gravestone, so I tend to think that is where he was buried. I have seen some graves for soldiers that died overseas that have memorials in two places, but that is not likely in this case.

I have been trying to add grave photographs for all of the records in Forest Lawn, but I am only in Michigan in the summers and so can't check for sure until this summer. I have suggested edits including a summary of the Washington Post obituary to the person that manages Find A Grave Memorial# 103905038. Once they have made the links, I will delete the Michigan record.

Joseph Lym
I also wanted to add a note as to the explain of why Joseph died in Almy and was buried in Randolph.

Two of my maternal 2nd great grandfathers died in Almy and were buried in Randolph. Upon doing a bit of research we learned from reading a history, it was at that time thought to be better if you were buried in Utah. Yes I think it to be odd, but still we trek to Randolph to place flowers on the two graves mentioned.

Thank you again,
Micky O.

Joseph Lym # 66806721
Hello - I have contacted you a few times in regards to this memorial. Joseph Lym, my 2nd great grandfather is not buried in the Almy Cemetery. We decorate our ancestor graves each year and he is buried in the Randolph, Utah Cemetery.

As I was unable to get any response from you, his wife and children have been attached to a memorial that I created in the Randolph Cemetery.

I know that we are not to duplicate memorials and I did try on more than one occasion to contact you with no response.

Thank you for your work on findagrave, it is appreciated.

Regards,
Micky O.

They're Not Alone
RE: Lavoy Finicum
You are more than welcome....I actually haven't had too much trouble with anyone over it. I had expected to have some but its not been bad. I won't allow anyone to disrespect LaVoy on here. This is his space, dedicated to him and he is safe here. I knew the Bundy's growing up and Cliven Bundy is one of the most Honorable and best true men I have ever known and his sons reflect him well and I may not have known LaVoy as well but if Cliven and the boys stood by him, then that says a lot to me about his character and then to listen to him every time he spoke, you just can't help but feel this warm peaceful pride he had in America and freedom and you just knew exactly who he was in his heart I made this as soon as I heard what happened cuz I wanted to make sure it was made properly and with respect and not by some random person watching for names in headlines to randomly add another memorial to their list. It meant a lot to me. I couldn't really do anything else for LaVoy and his Family or the Bundy's but I could at least Honor their friend who stood for All of Us, with at least this small thing. Thank You for your kind words.
