Thank you for posting this grave. This is my grandfather & grandmother. I am trying to find out more about my father's family & it has been difficult since my father has passed away. He rarely spoke of his father. My father's last name is spelled differently from his father's. This photo will help me continue my search for my ancestry. Again, thank you.

Just looked closely at your profile "last but not least the Benders" as your area interest. I have a bunch of Benders in my data base - some intermarriage with the Shattos but mainly in-laws of in-laws and also marriage with another of my lines, the Umbergers.

|Barry Michie||Shadow Memorials: Centre Co., Pa.|
Thanks for transferring the two memorials for David Shadow and his wife Elizabeth Getty Shadow to me. Much appreciated. I've been working on them, resolving some issues and posting references.
I found another Shadow memorial I'll be requesting you to transfer - one of David and Elizabeth's granddaughters, Mary C Shadow Treaster.
The Shadow surname is an alternate spelling for Shatto (originally Chateau - French Huguenot), a spelling this branch adopted when they moved out of Perry County in the 1820's, first to Dauphin and then Centre county.
Thanks much for your efforts finding burial locations and establishing memorials.
Best, Barry Michie (a descendant of the Perry County Chateau/Shattos)

|Raymond W Wolfgang||obituary|
Just writing to tell you the obituary you added for the spouse of one of my Wolfgang cousins was VERY helpful - thank you. I have found retrieving obituaries from Mifflin and Juniata counties to be particularly challenging for a variety of reasons. If you have any suggestions, please . . .

Please tell me why you are adding your unauthorized cemetery sign to my pages. There is already a sign approved by Find A Grave done by Clancy Hassler, so it is against the rules to add another one which is the same as the first. I purposely turn off the cemetery signs on my pages because I can't stand them, and then you go and add another one. Please remove it so I don't have to refer this to the admin. Thank you.

|Harry Babinger II||Memorial of your relative|
I don't know how close you are related to this person, but Memorial#77544827 was my ex-wife's grandmother's sister-in-law, and the custodian has died. She is just a little too far outside for me to consider adopting her memorial and I am asking you to adopt it. From what I can see, the custodian is not a relative. Thank you for your consideration.

Wow, Yvonne. I had not gotten so far yet in figuring out who William's father was. I had the reference to a Daniel -- and now you have provided the link. Thank you so much. I especially appreciate the transfer of Amanda Ripka as I see now where the connection into Colyers and your family line is:)

yes, but most people will just copy and paste and post those living people. Am hoping you won't send it that way or if you do remind people about the rules.

|Kat||transcripts of obits|
please, before you send them, edit out the names of possible living people. Findagrave rules state no names of the living.
per the FAQS:
Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography.
