RE: Alexander McClelland
I wrote find a grave a few days ago and explained the problem, but I don't know if they even read the messages they get. I don't think there is any way for you to remove the photo. At least if people read the bio they will know it is not Alexander.

RE: Alexander McClelland
Thanks, I hope she will remove it soon. I went on last night and left messages on all of the family trees that I found with the picture posted to Alexander.

Alexander McClelland
I just noticed on Alexander's memorial (7242230) that someone posted pictures probably from my sisters family tree on The pictures of the memorial I took several years ago and I don't really care if she used them, but the photo is not of Alexander. It is of Andrew J. McClelland (1854-1916). I have the original which I got from my grandmothers house after she passed away. On the back it says Uncle Andy and Andrew was her uncle. If people would check they would see that this type of photography was not even invented until long after Alexander had died. I have written her and asked her to remove the photo.

RE: Mollie Patterson
Vicki, She was not hard to locate once we had an idea that she should be buried nearby to Sallie. Would be nice if she had a marker of some kind.

I edited death date again. I have a recent photo of head stone to prove my correction if you care to view it.

Mollie Patterson - Osage
Vicki, do not know for sure Mollie is in Osage, but going Saturday to divine around Sallie's grave for her. Sincerely suspect that is where Mollie is interred and w/o a marker of any kind. Will notify as to what I find. Dee

Hi Vicki,

Sorry to hear that you have not been in good health. Hope you are doing better.

I wish I could give you information on the burial site of Kenneth B. Reamer, but I have nothing. Sorry.

RE: Mollie Patterson
Vicki, Another member states that she is fairly sure Mollie is buried in Osage by her young daughter and does not have a marker. Would you kindly move her to Osage Cemetery, Coryell County, Texas for now. I will verify shortly. Prayers that your test prove that you are clear. Been there, done that!! Dee

Schetrompf Family info
Hello Vicki,
I thought the post below might be beneficial to others researching the Schetrompf family linage. John Z. Forwarding as requested:
I got your name off of "Find A Grave". Some more information on the Schetrompf side.

Anton Schetrompf had 3 sons and 2 daughters.
1. Johannes who married Susanna Hidricks.
2.☆Baltharaar who married Catherine Kneram.
(My side of the family)
3. Christian who married Elizabeth Decker.
4. Anna Maria who married William Ritz.
5. Catharina - don't know anything more about her.

Baltharaar and Catherine (known as Fanny) had 3 sons and 1 daughter
1. Christian - 1846
2.☆ Samuel - 1848-1895 who married twice - A. Mary Ann Grant- they had 2 kids - Harry Ulysses and Anna Maye.
B.☆Catherine Emigh - they had 4 boys and 1 girl - ☆John B. married ☆Mary Jane Erb, George C married Lottie McCoy, James Wesley married Olive ,
David married Hannah , and Elsie Edith married Hugh Wiser.

John B. and Mary Jane had 5 sons - John C, Iver, Wilbert E, Gerry, Arthur. And 2 daughters - Frances G. and ☆Laura Grace (my grandmother). John and Mary Jane divorced and all the kids were given up for adoption including my grandmother. John never remarried, but Mary Jane did remarry Isaac Walton.

I do know that Baltharaar spelled his last name Schetrompf, but his son Samuel spelled it "Sheterom" and that is how my grandmother spelled her last name too. I know that Baltharaar came over on the ship The Clementine in 1842. And arrived in Baltimore, MD with the following family members - his father-Anton, Anton's sons - Johannes and wife Susanna and children Christina, John George; Baltharaar, Christian, & also Anton's daughters - Anna Marie and Catharina.

The "Sheterom's are all buried in either Saxton, Bedford, Pa at Odd Fellows Cemetery and also in Altoona at Oak Ridge Cemetery or Yellow Creek, Bedford Co, Pa. My grandmother is buried in Biglerville, Adams Co, Pa.

I hope this helps you. My mother was Laura's daughter. She had 4 daughters and 1 son. She married Otis Logan. And my name is Cindy Gebhart.

I am curious how the lady Vicki on Find a grave, said that they changed their name from Schiederup to Schetrompf.

Doesn't she understand that many people back 1600-1900's misspelled people's first and last names all the time. I have seen Schetrompf spelled Sheetrom or Shetfomp or Shetrum.

Because my grandmother had a very old bible that had Anton's last name spelled "Schetrompf" and being born in a town close to Hesse, Darmstadt, Germany. But you couldn't no longer read Anton's wife's name, or their marriage date or her death date or the children's baptism dates. She got the bible from her father- John B., who got it from his father- Samuel. But it was destroyed in a fire in 1967. Along with some very, very old photos. That were stuffed in the bible. The bible was kept in a very, very old wooden box.

Must close now. I hope you can pass my information onto Vicki on find a grave.

Cindy Gebhart

Dear Vicki,
Thank You for your reply. I was only hoping that you were more closely related to the Schetrompf line. You have done such a wonderful job documenting the Schetrompf Gravestones and their family linage, and we thank you for everything you've done and do!
Blessings, John and Carol Zoch

RE: Schetrompf Family info
Dear Vicki, 11-07-15
I see where you posted several Shetrompf Memorials on Find-a-grave in July 2011 for all listed names below, starting with the earliest Shetrompf:
1) Anton Shetrompf, find a grave #73829389
2) John Schetrompf, find-a-grave #73829440
3) John George Schetrompf, find-a-grave #73891084
4) Alfred Frank Schetrompf, find-a-grave #74083121
5) Our line: Leslie Frank Schetrompf, Sr. died TN.
6) Leslie Alfred Schetrompf, Jr., find-a-grave #74085644

You Posted not only their Schetrompf gravestone's but their Schetrompf family historical information. How did you come to know all the Schetrompf family info?
Strange thing is that a Vicki Schetrompf was born to Leslie Alfred Schetrompf, Jr. in 1964. Her Husbands name is Lee. Sure this isn't You?
I was hoping I made a Family connection.
Thank You for your help.
We are Praying for your recovery.

RE: Betty Brookman King
Vicki - I hope all goes well with your recovery. I have a similar connection - Charles King is my 2nd cousin, 2x removed. I am researching on my Barnhart side and am looking for more information on Charles' paternal grandmother Caroline Barnhart King West. Most specifically, I haven't been able to find death/burial information. Any other information on the family is helpful. I prefer email if you can respond that way. Sincerely, Kevin

RE: George Brookman
You're welcome. I thought that the tribute and bio were so nice and informative (although you seem to have all of the info) that it would be nice for you to have them if you didn't already. I know that I would appreciate anything like the tribute about one of my relatives. So many little personal details that made him live again and filled out the spaces between birth, death, marriage dates. Julia Johnson

I just thought I would let you know I just found the birth certificate for Virginia (Ritz) Dyer, her father was a man named Luther Hoopengarden born in Fulton Co. PA. Oswald just took care of her. Lots of researching to do!
