I know what you are saying. Headstones are so hard to get a good picture of. What I have found is that different times of the day headstones will take a totally different picture. There are stones I've gone back up to six different times of day to try and get a good pic of. There are a few that don't take a good picture no matter where the sun is at in the sky. It can be a challenge and lots of trios to town. Gets discouraging especially when you appear to be the only one interested, lol.

I have not completed it. It's been near 100 degrees for three weeks now so I lost interest!

I understand the problem. Don't you wish people would STAY active?? I have added Johannah Riederer back as Louisa's mother :D

|Jan Corder||Your edit re: parents of Louise Zabel|
I approved adding the father you suggested but did not add mother of Johannah Maria Rebecca Hildebrandt Riederer as mother since her birth year is 1856 and Louise was born in 1857. Thanks.

Jen: Saw you are looking for Florence and Wayland's grave pics in Centralia, KS. They were my great grandparents. Are you related to them?

The only bad thing about that is anyone knowing her the last 30 years and searching Find A Grave by the name Lloyd will not find her. We have a great possibility with the memorial established either way to end up with a duplicate memorial. No good answer!
Have a great day,

Jen to Jen - I figured that, too. I am thinking that you could make a note in the "inscriptions" area. My cataracts are getting bad, and I had trouble reading the photograph. Just thinking...:>)

I tried to get as straight on photo as i could yet still avoid the reflection of the flagpole and tree behind me.
as for the directions, they were close. Luckily it was a smaller cemetery. ;)
Let me know if i can help again.

I'm not related to her either. I must have taken the photo while fulfilling requests for other Moores. I hope I haven't offended you.

|Shannon B||Vestina Smith - Mt Muncie|
Hi Jen! I wanted to let you know that Vestina did not have a stone but because of the layout of the section and row I did get a picture of exactly where she is buried. I'll upload that to her memorial. Her plot is between the two stones in the photo.
Also, according the cemetery manager her middle name is May(or Mae) not sure. So you can add that to her memorial.

|Bill Stephens||Chauncey Dalrymple @ Topeka Cemetery|
I am fulfilling your request for Chauncey Dalrymple's grave photo. His grave is unmarked but according to cemetery records he is buried just North of Charles E Dalrymple. Charles is buried in grave 3 and next to him is his wife Bessie in grave 1. Chauncey is buried in grave 10 and I photographed the lot showing the approximate location to the right of Bessie and Charles.

|Shannon B||RE: Elizabeth & James O Smith|
Hi Jen! I'm so sorry. I actually had his death date the whole time. The manager of the cemetery wrote it down and I guess I overlooked it. He died in 1923 and I found a reliable record that says he died Nov 1, 1923 at the age of 67.
Hope that helps!

|Shannon B||Smith - Mt Muncie Cemetery|
Hi Jen! I wanted to let you know that there is not a headstone for Elizabeth and James Smith.
Fortunately, because of the way that section of the cemetery is laid out(straight rows and columns) I was able to photograph where exactly their plot is (it is in the middle of the photo a few feet in front of the two flat stones in the background and a few feet to the immediately left of the stone on the upper right side)
I went ahead and uploaded that photo to both of their memorials. Feel free to remove it as I have known some who would prefer not to have a photo without a headstone in it on their memorials but most don't mind at all. It's up to you.

You are welcome. If you go to the holton cemetery search page and scroll down to the bottom of the page to click here to view all images, there is a map of the cemetery with the sections indicated on it. Looks like you were probably in section 1, 2 or 3.
