For some reason we did not answer your question about a posting a new marker photo with death date showing. So if still interested, please do.

Thank you for your help,

Hi Ron,

The information that I have on Gerald R Dunn came from a site when I was transcribing records. If you would like to manage the memorial I would be more than happy to transfer it to you.

Ira Hatch Cory
Ron, do you have all of the burials in Bell Oak Cemetery listed. Is it possible that Ira Hatch Cory born 1809 in NY and died 17 Oct 1862 in Romulus, Wayne Co., MI is buried there. He is the husband of Elizabeth and father of the others buried there.

Elizabeth Hotchkin Cory
I see that you have taken over her burial site in Bell Oak Cemetery and wondered what you interest is in this family. She is the daughter of Noah Hotchkin and Merab Turner who are buried in Caledonia Rural Cemetery, Calidonia, Livingston County, NY. I would like to have her connected to them as parents or Transferred to me if you do not have a relationship with this family. I am Ed Hotchkin #47997372 if you will transfer.

Natalie Cates Dunckel
RE: Susanah Dunckel
I am a fairly new Dunckel - marrying into the family in June of this year. To answer your question, Nicholas Dunckel would be the 3x Great-Grandfather of my husband, Kevin Dunckel. 1. Nicholas and Catherine had a son, George. 2. George Dunckel and his wife, Henrietta, had a son, Leon Moses. 3. Leon Moses Dunckel and his wife, Lina, had a son, also named Leon. 4. Leon Dunckel (2) and his wife, Gloria, had a son named Brian Dunckel. (Leon and Gloria are buried elsewhere.) 5. Brian Dunckel and his wife, Pat, have a son named Kevin (who is married to me!)

I have done a lot of research on MY side of the family and discovered that I am 1/4 Italian, 1/4 German, and 1/2 "Heinz 57" as my Grandpa likes to say. I initially set out in the hopes of discovering where and if the Dunckels came from Germany. I was disappointed to hear no one in my immediate Dunckel brood knew much about their family history, thus deciding to take it upon myself to be the resident family historian - haha. I was quite surprised to find a Dunckel in Michigan in the 1700's - I thought certain I would find them in Germany! Have you found anything prior to this?

Even though we currently live in Columbus, we frequently visit Haslett, where my in-laws live. I already can't wait to go exploring in Rowley Cemetery next time we are in the area!

Fact check
You have done such a wonderful job of documenting and compiling information. It has been such a tremendous help to me as I work to build a family tree!

A question that I wanted to clarify would be regarding the page for Susanah Canfield Dunckel. It says that her birthdate is unknown and that her year of death is 1873 - however, I have a conflicting opinion. Her gravestone appears to me to say that the year of death was 1828 - saying "aged 25 years" below. This information makes much more sense in the context that she was the childless first wife of Nicholas F Dunckel, born in 1794. Any thoughts?

Thanks :-)

RE: Ida Buttermore
Thank you, Ron. As far as Hiram being listed on the death certificate, that could be just a homophonic error. Hiram could have been easily misunderstood for Myron.
