Hello! I have a question about the photo you added to this J C Jacobs site. Is it the side of his father's headstone by chance? I ask because there is another J C Jacobs buried in Oklahoma with his wife Patience. I thought his family may have just added his name to their family stone. Let me know what you think.

I usually ask someone to delete their's & I will transfer mine to them in order to preserve my photo. If I travel many miles & comb cemeteries to take pics I like to have credit for it. I is hurtful when someone takes your pic & presents it as their own.

If mine is earlier, how is it the duplicate? Usually one is asked to update or change the info not delete it. ???

Oh! I'm so jealous! I love that cemetery. All my Fudge family are buried there. There is so many interesting burials to look at. Big though. Ha! I have been driving to Independence, Kansas lately to photograph Mount Hope. 80 acres of graves. Yikes.
Have a great day.

Thanks for the heads up. I am going to go ahead and just delete mine. The surname spelling was what was provided on the cemetery transcription I copied from the Wichita library. I had planned on maybe making a return trip to Pleasant Hill but just have not made it yet. I wish I lived closer. Ha!

Thank you very much for providing the photo that I had requested. Fred and I were friends in high school so many years ago, but it is unlikely that I would ever have an opportunity to visit his grave in Concordia.

What is the "burial record" you refer to? His birthdate is 1803
and d 2Aug 1882. Even a photo of the broken stone would be helpful or who he is buried near... all info appreciated greatly.

Thanks for taking a nice photo of my great grandfather's head stone. At the age of 12 I was told he had been buried in Concordia. I drove to Concordia last fall to see if it existed. Now my cousins in Texas can see it too.
