Ulysses G. Emmons
I added the gravestone photo for him today, but note the birth dates do not match. I'm thinking it must be the same person with such an unusual name and same death date. If you want me to remove it because of the dates, just let me know. Thanks.

Paul Overfield
Dear Elizabeth: I have added his gravestone photo to Paul's memorial page. The Company B and Regt 52nd match, but the death date on the stone is Nov 2, 1882. Date on memorial is Nov 3 1881. If I have the wrong photo, please let me know. I understand that the death certificate dates and stone engravings don't always match, but because the Company and Reg't matched, I felt I should add it. Let me know. Thanks. Gail

I added Peter today, and will add Linda, also. I'm thinking that Peter is husband of Mildred. You added Mildred so if they are husband/wife, I thought you might want to connect them as spouse. I'm not sure, so leaving it up to you. I'm wondering if Linda is their daughter and should also be connected with Find A Grave numbers. Thanks.

Find A Grave Memorial# 106890372
HI Elizabeth

Thank you for making a memorial for William H Jessup!

I believe his middle name is Hunting (sometimes also spelled Huntting) after his grandmother Zervia Huntting Jessup. The family was from Southampton Long Island NY.
His parents:
William Jessup (1797-1868) and Amanda Harris (1798-1883)
Willam Jessup's parents:
Major Zebulon Jessup (1755-1822) and Zervia Huntting (1757-1835)
Zebulon's parents:
Deacon Thomas Jessup (1721-1809) and Mehetabel Foster (1719-1768)
Zervia's parents:
Samuel Huntting (1710-1773) and Zerviah Rhodes (d 1780)

Most of my information comes from The early history of Southampton, L. I., New York, with genealogies (1887)
Author: Howell, George Rogers.
Subject: Southampton, N.Y. -- History. ; Southampton, N.Y. -- Genealogy
Publisher: Albany, Weed, Parsons and company
PG322: Huntting Family.
It is a secondary source, though I have corroborated some of it, with probate records from the New England Historic Genealogical Society

I believe Zerviah has a find-a-grave memorial here:

Kind regards,
Gwen Rowe

FAG #96302230 - Ellen Redding
Enlarging her tombstone shows she was 57 years when she died on October 3, 1873, making her birth date abt 1816 County Fermanaugh, Ireland.
No relation, just sharing.

Mae (McKinney) Horton
Hi Elizabeth. I came across a Richard Horton in my tree. I believe his mother to be Mae (McKinney) Horton. Was wondering if you could help me with the connection. I saw you posted info to the gravesite for Richard. If I am correct, he would be my father's first cousin. Irwin and Harold came west around the 1900 timeframe. Thank you for anything you can offer. My email address is if you prefer to relay info that way.
Thanks again,

Glenn Warner
Thank you
Thank you for finding my great grandfather's and grandmother's tomb at Fairdale. I live far away and have never been there since i was a little boy. Most of my family history is buried between Fairdale and Wallpack in Sussex, new jersey. I don't get much time to do my research but I've done a lot. I myself, carry the name of my great uncle (I think that's the relation) at Fairdale, Glendon Leroy Warner. As I found out, Charles Warner(My Grandfather) is Glendon's brother. Glendon Died on July 1st, 1929 exactly 30 days before Charles's son was born...who was named Glendon Leroy Warner after him. That was my father lol. My father had passed years ago and is buried in new Jersey as he wished at veterans cemetery with his last wife. So I am Glendon the III, I have an older brother that is the II Glendon.

I am building a virtual cemetery with my ancestors starting on my father's side first. I've been transferred alot of my family's records, would you be willing to transfer Cyrus's and Charlotte's Please?

Thank you for finding it and posting it. I've been looking online for over a year and once I saw you posted it you brought great joy to me. Thanks so much and best regards,

Glendon L. Warner III

Lewis Harlow Woodruff, FAG #43822835
Dear Elizabeth Fike: Re: Lewis Harlow Woodruff, Find A Grave #43822835

As you can see from the following message left for "Eileen Spickerman" (have no idea where I got that name!), it has been almost two years since I attempted to contact her. Since then, I have been informed that in order to thwart any possible copyright infringements, I MUST have WRITTEN PERMISSION from a photograph’s owner in order to include it in my narrative. I am sorry for any inconvenience but would appreciate a response from you as quickly as possible. If I do not hear from you in a reasonable length of time I will, of course, withdraw the photograph from my treatise. Thanks in advance for your prompt attention.

Subject: Lewis Harlow Woodruff, et al, Find A Grave

Dear Elizabeth Spickerman:
Thank you for giving advance permission for downloading your Find A Grave photos. I am currently compiling in hard copy the Cheadle family history of which the above is married to a descendant (Almeda Hutchinson) (great granddaughter of the progenitor, George Cheadle). My mother-in-law was a Cheadle. I am NOT requesting transfer of any memorials but want you to know that credit will be given such as “Courtesy of Elizabeth Spickerman, contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ? ? ?” if that is agreeable. If you are definitely against it (as some contributors have been) I chose to credit as “Courtesy of Find A Grave contributor who wishes to remain anonymous.”
I will look forward to hearing from you either way; however, if I do not have a response by Aug 31, I will assume you have no objections to my crediting you by name. In this day of identity theft, I can appreciate that you might not want your name in my treatise. But, in the day of people wanting to be recognized for their contributions, I have to cover all bases and give credit where credit is due.
You have no idea how much we who are of an age (I’m 84) or distance and cannot traipse through cemeteries as we once did appreciate the effort and passion of you who contribute to Find A Grave. Many thanks from an old lady.
