Hi, I forgot to mention that I have an old photo of 6 people by a car, labeled "Samuel, Joseph, Clarence, Paul, Albert, Pearl." If you don't already have this, I would be happy to e-mail it to you.

Joseph Samuel Rickard
Hi Edie,

I see that your grandfather is Joseph Samuel Rickard. He is my great-great grandfather and I would love some more information about him and his family if you have any! Before Joseph was married to Pearl, he was married to my ancestor Mary Euphemia Poston in 1897 in Missouri and had a son, Samuel Leroy Rickard. They all ended up in California eventually. Samuel married Harriet and they had two children, Herbert (Lee)- my grandfather- and Betty. Have you ever heard of any of these people? Samuel would have been your father's half-brother. (Also, if you have heard of a Clarence Rickard, I would be interested to know more, I believe he was another son of Joseph.) This side of my family tree has been somewhat of a mystery, and I'm just trying to find some more information, if you have any. I hope I wasn't confusing. Thank you so much!

Clarinda Applegate and James Dean
Both are buried in separate unmarked graves at Sunnyside Cemetery. James Dean resides at Ivy, lot 115, grave 1. In lieu of gravestone photos, I have posted area photos with the gravesites marked by small yellow flags.

FYI, other relatives at Sunnyside include:

Earl Leroy Dean NW Magnolia, lot 4, grave 1
Horace Albert Dean SW Magnolia, lot 40, grave 1
Julia Dean with Horance
Frederick Jennings NW Magnolia, lot 3, grave 4
Bernice Jennings Ivy, lot 57, grave 1

Oscar Dye Welliver Primrose, lot 98, grave 6
Lucy Diadama Leavitt Poinsettia, lot 29, grave 5

The 3 Deans and 2 Jennings also have unmarked graves. I do not know about the Welliver or Leavitt graves.
