Jacob Hilkert, Swan Cemetery
I was at the Noble County vital records department yesterday and I looked up Jacob. They have no record of him dying here in Noble County nor does the cemetery have any records of him. Barb

You are welcome! I'm trying to photograph the entire Avery Cemetery, but bad weather has interrupted me. Hope to finish later this week.

RE: Drummond
Guy,
You are quite welcome for the Drummond photos. I have not run across either John or Caroline in my travels. I do keep an eye out, and hope someday I may have the chance to photograph their markers.

RE: Anna Haines, Avilla Cemetery
I went back to the cemetery to double check. Anna Hains is buried just to the left of George Haines. My guess is that (and I've seen it before) that her name was misspelled and they did not correct it. I also checked the online cemetery records and it did say widow of George. If you should have any more questions, please let me know. Barb

RE: Anna Haines, Avilla Cemetery
The spelling on the tombstone is Hains and that is how the memorial is set up. You set another memorial with the spelling of Haines. The photo is attached to Hains not Haines. I can attach one to Haines if you would like. Let me know. Barb

I also transferred John Aungst's wife, Mary Malissa Aungst, to your management. I checked and there are quite a few of your Aungst family buried in Richland County. Let me know if I can help you any further.

Downing stone measurements
Base of the stone:
33 1/2" wide, 17 1/2" deep (and I just realized I forgot to measure the height)

Stone itself:
27 1/2" wide, 12" deep, 24" high (from the bottom to the top flat edge)

28" from the bottom to the top of the arch

The top of the peak is 15 1/2" long

The triangles at each edge of the top are 10" on the sides and 11" at the bottom.

If you need other measurements, let me know!

Linda

RE: Thanks
It is believed that Jonathan Carter is buried in the Old Roundhead Cemetery. Just that a marker for his location is no longer readable or is missing. Mr. Carter was a pioneer in Hardin County.
