I have been researching my family's history for years. Many of my memorials are of my relatives and people I have known. My family has many old photos which I have posted so that others can enjoy them. I try to personalize the memorials as much as possible by adding bios, details discovered through ancestry research, and the personal remembrances of people who knew them.

My father's mother (Olive Kullgren, 1897-1986) left many fascinating photos of her youth in Colorado and later in Southern California, where she became private secretary to Edward L. Doheny Sr. in 1925, after the departure of his previous secretary Miriam Lerner. I spent many hours pouring over her photos, trying to identify family and other people in them, and created memorials for the people I was able to identify, such as for her lifelong friend, Eunice Winifred Morgan, and two friends from Denver who served in World War I (Charles Matthew Klaiber and Wesley Louis Murray). Her photos touched and inspired me.

I'm currently working on cemeteries in Shawano County, Wisconsin, where my mother's father (Einer Louis Tulberg) grew up. I'm researching the individuals buried there to provide family links, obituaries, full birth/death dates and full names. One challenge is tracing the maiden names and parents of married women, whose last names at birth were often not mentioned in obituaries at that time.

My mother was Shirley Ann Tulberg (Find a Grave Memorial 183669143). Her ancestors' names include Tullberg (Sweden), Houm, Engebretsen, Kjerneby, and Vestby (Norway); and Stolz and Klein (Germans from Russia).

My mother was born on the same day (March 3, 1933 - 3/3/33) as my father, who was Paul Dietrich Boetius (Find a Grave Memorial 13217081). His ancestors' names were Boetius and Blad (Denmark), Kullgren (Sweden) and Morrison (Scotland).

Other family members dear to me are those of my second cousins - Hollands, Scott, and Zook on my father's side, and my mother's North Dakota cousins (Schacher, Wagner, Enockson).
