My Parents
Hi Debbie Lee:

I'm new to Find a Grave, and I wonder if you could transfer my parents to me? My dad is Wilbert Frank Gladwell, 99267148, and my mother is Janet McClung Gladwell, 99267179. I would appreciate it.

On memorial # 60618077, there is a tombstone picture posted by you (which is appreciated) but it is not the tombstone for the person in the memorial. Thank you for all the kind work that you do for Find A Grave.

Thank you so very much for your efforts to assist me with locating her burial as I can only go by the info they placed on the Death Record. I'm finding the DR information for that period in time is not always correct. Thanks again, Sandi :-)

I just placed an edit on James Aaron Cox - I meant to place the information on his father James Addenlee Cox who died in the same county in 1969 -Forgive the error.

Marie Collins Templeton
Thanks for catching my mistake. I created another page for my Aunt Marie even though she was already listed by cousin Ralph Tuttle, but he died a couple of years ago and Find A Grave will not transfer management to me (2 tries). Please add her stone picture to my page. You're doing a great job and it is appreciated! Tony

RE: Help if you can.
Thank you for responding. There is no hurry, when ever you get back there. I live in PA and due to knee surgery that did not go well, I am unable to drive back there. Thanks again for your help on your next visit to Crestwood.

Zella Caudle family

Zella W. Caudle maiden's name was Zella B. Westmoreland. She was the daughter of Alexander Martin Westmoreland and Eliza Eveline Culler. They can be linked to as 91028429 (Alex) and 91028230 (Eliza). She's listed with them in the 1910 King Precinct, Stokes Co., NC Census; but unfortunately is listed as "Lela" in the 1920 Forsyth Co., NC Census. North Carolina marriage records show she married Dewey T. Caudle 15 Apr 1922 in Forsyth County.

Rich Kreiss
Gleanes (Samp) Boger
I checked it again, Debbie. The death certificate is neatly typed and very clear with the first name. I have no idea where Samp came from (or Gleanes for that matter) but I'll include it as a nickname. Perhaps a family member will come along soon and clear up the confusion. Thanks for pointing it out and keep up the great work!!!

Help if you can.
Hello Debbie, I live in MD and as of now I can't drive. I am hoping when you go back to Crestwood Memorial Gardens you might be able to find a site for me. It should be next to (or very close to) Byrdie and Johnnie Moody. I am looking for John (Johnny) Pruitt and Addie Moody Pruitt. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Sincerely, Morgan.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

This name you speak of Anna "Eliza" Elizabeth Zimmerman Byerly was a "Mother-in-law of uncle of husband of 1st cousin 2x removed of mine" is that a mouth full or what. She is buried down the road a mile or 2 at the Elbaville Cemetery. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions let me know. I looked at the book mentioned at the church and was able to get a copy from another source. I used it to document the entire cemetery took 6 months but every one is in there.

Longtown UMC
I started with Carl Hoots book, which is no longer under copyright protection, and then go back to add in information from
It's a tedious process, but very few gravers are concentrating on the West Yadkin area (it's not where my people are from). I recently did the same with Shiloh Missionary Baptist, only I finished by photographing the entire cemetery. Hoots' book is good for the stones that are only slightly readible.

Thanks for your help in the West Yadkin churches.

RE: James W. Crews
For now, I've made a note on the old entry that the old tombstone might be the original, and that there was a much newer one that could have taken it's place, and that there are two separate entries.

That old one is definitely badly damaged, and it seems possible that some of his descendants might have wanted it replaced.

At least that would explain why we have two entries, and that they are not exactly duplicates.

Hopefully this can be solved---at which point the two entries can be merged somehow.
