I would be more than happy to transfer to you. I assume they are married but did not show that. Just didn't wan't him "lost"

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of our many C.W. Veterans. George D. Sowles is one such patriot. May I use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave memorial, to post on the Vt. C.W. Site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

The cemetery just started limits on me a few days ago. It's understandable - as they explained there is work they get paid to do and my research takes them away from that. Too bad I can't look names up myself.

I am stumped on this one. Perhaps you should just create memorials for the names on the stone and perhaps some family member will sort it all out and ask for merges, if appropriate. Sorry I can't be of more help.

It is so nice that you are photographing that cemetery, and thus confirmed that the memorials I created were in fact in the correct cemetery! I've created one for son Carl William #160607924 so you can add your photo to his memorial as well.

Well now that is a very interesting story =D you should put his name on her memorial, just so that people looking can connect the dots. So he married her to bring her to the USA? of what I have seen in researching that sounds like a common practice back then. thank you for sharing the information
