She died 2 years after the stock market crashed. I'll bet she fed her kids and husband before herself. Mom's are like that. A lot of people died in the three years after the crash. It's still sad.

I added a death cert to this memorial. The DOB & DOD match. Think the middle initial on the headstone is a H and not a R which matches the spouse in the DC. Let me know it it's right. Enjoh

Hi i m a Swann and my GGGG Grandfather was Edward Swan born about 1795 Pendleton SC died about 1868 in Blount Co Ala he married 3 times.I found your John R Swan in 1900 living in Campbell Co Blount Co Alabama and there was also a Lovey Swan and Family living at Campbell as well.They did did not stay long i am wondering since they spelled their last names the same that they could had known each my Swan came from Ireland,Scotland I had a Mary Swan with children Andrew,William and Nancy in the 1850 Blount Co Ala Census Mary was born 1798 SC she left Blount Co As Well trying to make a connection to these Swan families since my Edward married in Campbell Co Ga after his 1st wife died then he married Hannah McCollum Edward had several children by his 2 wives frist wife was Mary Elizabeth unknown Indian Tribe SC no records.

Julia was my great great grandmother. Never knew any of my grandparents so wonderful to put a name with a longing to know. I can't seem to find anything about her husband, my gr gr grandpa, name William Bailey. Believe his middle initial is M.
