RE: thank you
I'd be more than happy to ga back for you if you are able to get more information. We looked for McDonough, which is how we found Mabel. Was he buried next to his wife or his own family? If his headstone says Jon Allen, we didn't see it because we were looking for the other name. Let me know if you are able to get more information. Good luck!

Hello. I apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, I am not able to help as I do not know anything about the photo. I actually just found it on line. I apologize.

There are several photos already published on Noelle's memorial. If you indicate what you are looking for in a gravestone/gravesite photograph, I may be able to satisfy your requirements.

RE: life goes on
Hi,
Thank you for the information. I always collected poems and sayings in blank books since way back in high school (long time ago) and that was one, and wherever I found it had the wrong author. I felt kind of sorry at the time that there wasn't enough room on the markers to credit the author and have it look right. I am glad now I didn't, it would have been forever wrong because it would be way too expensive to fix now.

Your most welcome. I think a cloudy day was needed for the right exposure.

I did go to his Findagrave.com site and saw that there was a photo of the same grave stone that I photographed but I think the new one shows the wording better. My mistake before about the headstone - this was before I had checked his site.

Great News, I found a big and very readable flat grave stone for Samuel C Hutson. The other picture that you mentioned is in a block next to this one so someone took a picture of the wrong spot. How do I get it to you?

Hello Orleans! The left-hand symbol is for the Fraternal Order of Eagles; the right-hand one is for the Knights of Pythias.

Such a pity about the marker broken from the base. The Elk Valley-Michel Cemetery has suffered a fair bit of vandalism over the years; in fact when I was there last May one flat marker had been pushed askew on its base and the tire tracks of the offending vehicle were still visible.

Hi,
I found that poem over 30 years years ago in an old book of poetry -- I am not sure which now, or if I still have it; but it had Sitwell as the author. I had copied it with other favorites into a notebook and had it inscribed on my parents' markers but a quick google search seems to confirm what you say. Hmm --- thank you so much!

I have checked with the IOOF cemetery sexton for Myrtle Creek and I have yet to get a photo of a headstone (if one exists) but did have him check his records regarding your further request.

His records show that Samuel Hutson died 26 May 1883 and lived 38 years, 2 months and 14 days.

The volunteers will need you to call Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. SH will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed to in order for requests to be filled. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thank you for your help.

Christmas Bell
Many thanks for your good wishes. Yes, we go to Holkham Hall a lot so we'll be delighted to take a photo for you when Spring comes. I took the photo of St Withburga Church that is featured on the Holkham Churchyard page.
Christmas seems to be a popular first name in Norfolk (not sure why) but the surname of Christmas also seems popular in Norfolk too.
