RE: re: adin french
Hi,
Adin had a middle initial N. in his name.

Under the death date it says: AE 29yrs. & 9ms.

the epitaph under that is not legible to me but appears to be a quote from the bible.

He is buried next to his wife Mary E. French.
There are additional French's here, too. It is possible that the Find A Grave memorials were established before the time that links were available. If you look at the other French memorial pages there is some information for family connections.
I am not related to anyone in the Dummerston cemeteries. I just can't pass up going down old roads and finding these historical graveyards.

I checked the poem printed on the bench and then checked it against the poem online. The poem is complete, ending with
"We will be one together." However, there is one word missing from the third line from the end. It should read "nothing is lost". The word lost is cut off.

You're so welcome,I am happy to have helped. It is an absolutely beautiful grave site, with a large cedar tree standing by, that has memorial plaques for both Steve and Leona on it. One thing is obvious in visiting this man's grave: he was much loved :-)

RE: Poem
Sorry about that! It looks like we missed one word on the right and one on the bottom! We took quite a few pictures trying to get in all the text, and it was difficult. You have to get down on the ground and hold your breath! We will go back to the cemetery and try again.

Closest I can tell, bottom two must be symbols for the "Hornets". Top left is crossed rifles. I will look closer next time I am there and see if I can tell.

the picture of the poem has been placed on Michael's memorial, but since it has exceeded the number of pictures allowed it didn't register to notify you.

Sorry about that. There was nothing that mentioned which side of the bench you wanted. We will be going back to the cemetery and will copy the verse. There are two different pics of the front with different decorations. Which one would you like me to leave?

RE: hi BK, i have a question
If you call the cemetery you should be able to get a plot location to give to the volunteer.

Hello Orleans - pls see this post and video

http://www.green-wood.com/2011/remembering-911/

I added the list of names to Find A Grave. For privacy many of the grave locations have been kept from the public.

Hi there. When I started to post my picture, I found that there was one already there. I went ahead and posted my picture, however, so there are a couple now. :) Have a great day! Thanks.

Do you want me to load the Italian version as well?

I would also recommend reaching out to the folks at the cemetery (www.cemeteryrome.it) - they seemed to have quite a lot to say about her.

cheers
j.

I could barely make out the inscription on Hanna Brown's tombstone. My daughters are also descendents of Hannah Brown via her grandson, John O. Brown!
