Zina-- I am wondering where you found the photo of my dad, George Edward Cary, that is posted on this site. I have never seen it before and am curious as to how to obtain a copy thank you very much, Kaaren Cary Ford

Hallo!
Hi, Zina, thank you for the beautiful pictures that you put in the "Find A Grave". You and "Katzizkidz" from which you unfortunately heard nothing more recently, are among my favorites. All The Best! Robert H.

Thanks for your note. I am no longer attempting to delete or merge memorial pages since I get SO MANY suggestions such as this.

I always check to see if there has been a previous memorial page created for a person, and most times findagrave indicates there hasn't been, only to find out later someone had created one before mine. There is something flawed with their lookup system on memorials that so often duplicates don't initially show up.

Thanks

Breanna Powers-Mount Comfort
I saw your photo request for Breanna Powers in Mount Comfort Cemetery. If you could contact them and get the grave location I will try to find it. They will only give me two locations per day. They have a website - go to Contact Us - Other Requests. You can request the grave location that way. http://www.dignitymemorial.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us.page

You're very welcome, we're glad to help. We also have a photo of the family headstone, but couldn't post it because the photo limit had been reached. Just let us know if you would like it sent to you or even added later.

I've "claimed" your request for a photo of Stephen Rand Howe's headstone but don't know when I'll take the picture. In the meantime, I've found his obituary and am willing to pass it along if you contact me. Cheers, Charlet Roskovics

RE: Farringon Burial Ground pictures
You are very welcome. I spent a week traveling along the 401 doing cemeteries as we went (to the north & south of it). Most photos that I took weren't family, but some were. Yours weren't. Some of the requests that we filled were over 2 years old!

Please do me a favor in return. Take your camera/smart phone and do some stones in a nearby cemetery that aren't posted on F.A.G. yet.

Wishing you all the best.

Corin Smith
I wish you would have contacted me on Corin Smith since I hold the memorial but this is what I discovered. Stone Shows the wrong name - it says Karen when it should be Corin. Corin was the 5-year old daughter of Amanda and John Smith. They are also buried with Oscar Smith died at a little over a year old from whooping cough and brother, Artur Smith, who died the same year as Corin at the age of 7 years. VDR

Karen Smith photo
I've asked Val to removed the Smith (Block 31) photo from Karen Smith's (Block 22) memorial and I'll see what I can find to photograph in B22. It's no trouble, really, I just prefer answers to questions.

Corin Smith in Lone Fir
I give up. There are five people buried in graves 1S & 2S & 3S, Lot 36 Block 31: Oscar, Corin, Arthur, John P. and Amanda are in the burial records. Oscar, Karen, Arthur, John P. and Amanda are on the headstone. There are no individual head/footstones for anyone in the south 1/2 of Lot 36, to a depth of 14 inches. Neither Corin nor Karen is buried with any of the other Smiths in Block 31. As I said, I give up. Please inform me if you solve this.

Corin Smith
It's Corin in the burial records - the records that are the source for many if not most of the FG memorials - and FG, but there's a Karen (not the d. 1990 Karen who is buried in Sec 22) on the headstone, and no Corin.

I will go look tomorrow, and investigate the Lot 53 Smiths, too. If there's anything to find, within six inches of the surface, I will find it. Six inches is my limit. Any deeper than that I'm not going to dig it out anyway.

Corin Smith in Lone Fir
I've accepted your photo request in Lone Fir cemetery. There is a photo of the family monument in Section 31, Lot 36
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Smith&GSiman=1&GSsr=241&GScid=39055&GRid=57987980&

You see the names Oscar, Karen, Arthur, John P. and Amanda. No Corin. Burial records show Corin sharing G1S with Oscar, Arthur in G2S, and John P. and Amanda sharing G3S. No Corin on the stone, but Karen is on the stone and not in the burial records. Could Karen/Corin be the same person? I'm happy to go the cemetery and look around for a turfed-over stone or maybe there's information on the back of the monument that doesn't show in the photo.
