My family is descendant from Adam Keller who came to old Bellair 1865, that later became Numa Appanoose County Iowa.

One of the notable families in our local annals was the Keller relationship, whose ancestor was Adam Keller, who came from Pendleton County Virginia, Adam Keller, and wife, the ancestral pioneers that had their home on the beautiful Appanoose County Iowa, had a married life of nearly 50 years.

The family consisted of four daughters and eight sons. Their names were Catherine, Phillip, Jesse, John, Emily Susan, Adam, Isabella Margaret "Belle", Jacob, Pleasant A 'Ples'. Joseph, Isaac Hoy "Ike" and Mahala Jane.

Catherine became Mrs Silas Jackson Smith, Son of Elias Smith and Martha Jackson. Phillip my ancestry married Emily Catherine Arbogast, daughter of Michael and Mary Ann (Pierce) Arbogast.

Jesse married Susan Porter, daughter of John and and Elizebeth (Day) Porter. John married Mary Angeline Condra, daughter of Jacob and Lavisa White (Adams) Condra.
Emily Susan became Mrs Stephen Robert Murphy, parents Unknown. Adam married Eva Ozella Marsh, daughter of Alpha Alonzo and Julia Ann (Storms) Marsh.

Isabella Margaret "Belle" she was married twice. Family one John Arbogast , son of Michael and Mary Ann (Pierce) Arbogast.
She also married Leander Franklin Condra, son of Jacob and Louisa White (Adams) Condra. He is buried with his first wife, Frances J. Arbogast, in Miller Cemetery, Numa, Appanoose, Iowa. Frances was John Arbogast's sister.

Jacob Married Mary A. Cook, daughter of Pleasant Cook and Kittie Stacit..Pleasant A 'Ples' married Anna Myers, daughter of George Meyers and Catherine Schwieder, and siister to Mrs John Adam Keller. Isaac Hoy "Ike" married Emma V. Hibbs, daughter of Dr. Stephen Amos and Eliza (Blue) Hibbs and Mahala Jane became Mrs Jessie Albert Fox, son of Elias Z. and Amanda (Hoover) Fox
