I have linked him to his mother, Sarah (Stout) Smith. I haven't found his father on this site yet. If you have, please send me the memorial # so I can link him to his son. Thanks, Pam

RE: 125364815 Mary Ann Codd Stout
I appreciate your information. If you will refer to the bio section on her page, I have listed the sources I used to join Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. If you will follow the links to her parents, you will see the other references that I used to document this line. I have seen the name written both ways, but I have chosen to use the spelling for this line that was approved by the genealogists at Colonial Dames Headquarters in Washington, DC. Thanks again for your information.

No, I haven't found a marriage certificate for Mary Stout and George Nutt. They are my husband's third great grandparents. That is as far back as I have since I just recently started working on his family. I will take any help I can get!

I added the cemetery to both (that was a good idea.) Are you descended through them? They are my gr gr gr etc... grandparents.

if you read my note, it says he is not buried at this site merely a memorial and I have noted his place of burial underneath that. It is currently maintained by the Find A Grave site itself. Did you want me to add something more? Perhaps something I am not aware of to notate. thanks

Since they were all three buried within a day of each other, they were probably relocated to Lexington Cemetery from another cemetery. Most likely the Old Presbyterian Cemetery that use to be on Limestone. The G S is probably a son.

My grandfather is linked all the way to Isaac Gregory on Findagrave. :-) I just tried it.

Mary Stout is my husband's 3rd great grandmother. She married George Nutt. Their daughter, Louisa, married Shadrick (sp) Nicholson. My husband's grandfather was Noah Webb Nicholson. He, along with his parents, are buried at King Cemetery. My husband's mother grew up in Copen also. Her name is Alice Nicholson Hamrick. She has 12 other siblings, so there are plenty of Nicholsons running around.

I am just starting in on my husband's family. He won't admit it, but he is finding it interesting, especially the cemeteries. I will look into the Stouts. I know Mary Stout is related to the Stouts in King Cemetery but I just haven't put it all together yet.

Thank you!

My husband's family is Nicholson and Nutt. The family itself has married into several familes: Steeles, Kings, Sandy, and Stouts. The holler that my husband lived in when he was little was called Nicholson Holler but it is now named Wolf Pen Run.

I am descended from Isaac Gregory, My great, great grandfather (George Lake) was his grandson.

Not a problem. I was a bit confused when I went to link parents, so I thought I would ask. I have found this to be very interesting because I am finding family members and how people are related. My family is from Webster/Braxton line and my husband's family is from Copen, so we definitely cover they county! My husband found family in this particular cemetery that he did not know about.

Thank you! I do not mind people using my pics but when I found out someone else was posting them under their name, that is when I became just a tad upset. And I could tell they were mine because it was my metadata. So I figure I would add a disclaimer. It may not stop them from taking and cropping my name out but it makes me feel better!

I noticed you have quite a bit of data entered for Mary Elizabeth Heater and Johnathan O. Ocheltree and their families. Are you related? They were my great, great grandparents. I would be most interested in any info you have as well as the sources. Thank you!

Great, thank you! And now I have deleted the 2 burial unknown memorials. Nice to have William linked to his parents, etc!

Thank you handling those updates for William & Nancy Curry. Please also check the Edits tab on your Contributor page; a new feature Find A Grave rolled out early this year. We don't receive notifications of those type of edits; you can only tell if you have any after you sign in, and if there is a number on YOUR edits tab, on YOUR contributor page.

He's my 2nd cousin twice removed. I'm related on his grandmother Amanda McClain McCoy's side. I never knew him though and you did, so you should keep his memorial. Thanks for offering!

Thank you! I appreciate the response. I know it is quite confusing with K of P and Knights of Pythias because some people don't know they are one in the same. Also the fact that cemeteries have name changed throughout the years.

RE: William Lowther II 107966334
I have never been able to quite figure all that out definitively. Everywhere I look I find the same info duplicated, or MISduplicated, whichever the case may be. I have the Christopher Texas Lowther book somewhere that takes everyone back to England, but there are missing pieces in it because it was done a long time ago. Let me know if I need to fix something.

No connection. Just working on the cemetery listings in general.
I spent a few hours on my last day off taking pictures and have been slowly going through them, uploading the photos, and making corrections and connections.

RE: Linking family
A good genealogist would never go by what is on Find A Grave. A good genealogist would have done enough advance research they would not need to have families connect.

I cannot imagine anyone building a family tree base on where a family is linked on Find A Grave.

I have corrected 100' of memorials where incorrect date were listed or no birth or death date listed on the memorial. I have added dates and place of birth and death to these memorials.

I have found many, many memorials on Find A Grave with incorrect parents listed, incorrect birthdates, incorrect place of birth. I know of lots of memorials on Find A Grave where a Find A Grave member listed someone in a cemetery with a birth and death date and no source for the info not even a stone.

Please reread my statement, what I said is "all memorials don't have to be connect to parents"

God Bless
