CHS, I love Texas and the people, it's just too far away...and since I'm partial to east Texas, it's makes it even farther away. Also, I'd like my vote to have more of an impact. Texas is solidly red and California is solidly blue, so my vote wouldn't make any difference in either state. However, Nevada is more of a purple, toss-up state and I'd like to help keep it from turning blue. There are many pros and cons to consider for wherever I finally settle. Take care, CHS.

Hello CHS, thanks very much for your service to our country!. I didn't move to Texas, I moved to Nevada. However, it's not necessarily permanent. I love Texas, although it's a little far from what seems more like home to me. I've narrowed my choices down to Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Idaho and Wyoming. Four of these five states are bright red Republican states, which I'd prefer. Do you live in Texas, CHS?

Put your request back in for Jerry at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. I merely added a section photo and didn't realize it would take out your request. Once the wreaths are picked up, I'll be back out there to photograph again. I've got a really long list of pictures to get! Section 1 was still restricted access last time I was there.

Still no access to Section 1. However, it appears that the workers might be getting close to the end of the section for resetting the stones and the ground closer to the front of the section is being prepped for irrigation and new sod. Those are my thoughts on the progress :-)

May I copy his stone for my ancestry tree. He is my wife's uncle?

|William N. Barron||James Richard Scroggins|
Hello, I see we are related to each other through James Richard Scroggins. I have added a photo of James to the find-a-grave site. I am looking for family photos. Do you have any photo of James or other members of the Scroggins family and/or its allied families? If you do have family photos, I would appreciate it if you would scan or send me a copy. I would be willing to pay for the cost you may incur in copying the photos. I only have the one photo I posted of James Richard Scroggins in my records. Unfortunately, I don't have a single photo of his wife Katherine "Katie" Elsie Rutland Scroggins (my Great Grandmother) to post on find-a-grave.
I am interested in knowing your family tree would you please send me a copy, I would like to add it to my family tree I am working on. If interested, I can put together my line for your records.
Did you ever do any research on MARLIN DAVID SCROGGINS' wife SOPHIA JANE HARMENING? I am having difficulty in finding out who are Sophia's parents and husband. I have hit a dead end in my research. I have Sophia's mother as being Emily, but as to what her last name is or who her husband is, I have not been able to find out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

According to my records, I sponsored the memorial almost ten years ago. As I recall, it was because he was described as a tenant farmer with no kin.
The best person to contact is the original creator of his memorial as he is able to make any and all corrections to the site.

I was happy to do it, even though I don't usually take photos that far from home. I was visiting family in the area and we decided to go look for other family members and got Olin's .

|Bruce Pierce||Betty Craig|
Hi CHS. I walked thru the Palm Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery and also talked to the director at the church. He found no record for Betty Craig. Could she be buried under a maiden name or married name? The people at the church were very helpful but couldn't come up with anything to help out. Thank you, Bruce Pierce
