Bio

I am an active contributor/member on Find A Grave. I find myself working here on this site with some project nearly every evening. At this time I am not a transcriber, perhaps later, but not now.

I salute each and every one here who spends countless hours in transcribing or in photographing stones and then coming home uploading pics and creating these wonderful memorials on line. You have my utmost respect for all the hard work you do!

I primarily work on my own family lines. I have been a family history researcher since 1976. It's been a great hobby taking me places, meeting and talking to new friends and family I had not previously known before.

My main goal on this site is to connect our families together, the children to parents, the spouses to one another and to be able to step over to see the siblings' memorials side-by-side, a family unit connected together as a whole. Those are the best kinds of memorials.

It is NOT my goal to collect family members' memorials, but if a contributor who has transcribed a memorial wishes to transfer a family member, whether collateral line or in-law to my direct line, that's fine. I will add any information that's accurate, appropriate and that will respectfully add to, enhance and bring to life the memory of individual who's passed on.

I have no objection in considering transfers of memorials upon request. First priority being given to direct line individuals as per Find A Grave policy, or I will also consider if you have a closer family connection than I do, or if you had a special bond with the person who is memorialized. To contact me, please use the edit tab and click the category link, "Suggest any other correction or addition" for such requests.

My research interests here include the following families: Settles, Davis, Paxton, Taylor, Smith, Rowley, Bryant, Thatcher, Grimes, Richards and Hefling to name a few.

Thanks for stopping by to read my profile. Good luck to you in your research, transcription project or remembrance of the special individuals you find. Enjoy your time on this site!
