Footprint of a person’s existence is the same. There are the physical traces of a now spiritual existence, and it can be very comforting to sit alongside the burial plot or mausoleum niche of a loved one. There is a sense of their continued presence there, in that place.I consider cemeteries to be ‘liminal spaces’ – a place in the world which is ‘between’ the world of the living, and eternity. A doorway, if you will; a sacred space, relatively untouched by the hustle and bustle of the world around us.If your loved one is interred in a local cemetery, why not take an hour or two today to sit in the doorway, to reside –if only for a while –with the angels?
