Bio Photo I am a Fellow of the Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society and a member of the Society of Genealogists. I live near Stockport, Cheshire, England. I visit Manchester Central Library most weeks and can do look-ups there. I am also willing to visit cemeteries in the Greater Manchester area and take photographs of headstones, provided the grave number is known.

Emma Rigby
Hi Mike, Thank you so much for the photo of Emma Rigby`s Grave.

Emma was the Daughter of William Hancock & Sarah Ann Shuttleworth.

Sadly Emma died during the Blitz on Manchester where the deaths were numbered to be 363.

Can I ask if it will be ok to add the photo to my Hancock Family Tree on ancestry

Again Many Thanks
Beryl

Thank you!
Mike, thank you so very much for taking the photos of David Goode and Joseph Malpass' graves. I had found them while searching for information on my 3x great grandparents Joseph and Peggy Waters. I'm curious to know if they have a stone or not, did you by chance look and not find anything for them? I had the cemetery added to Find A Grave when I located their graves and added those from the military site I found. One day I would love to visit Saint Chads, but I live in the USA.

Thank you again so much for adding the photos you have. Always makes me happy to see a memorial complete with photos. Have a wonderful day! Sharon McGlothlin.

John Palfreyman Susanna (Plant) Palfreyman
My great x4 Grandfather and grandmother were from around the Cheshire area, I believe; I think it's possible that a John Palfreyman you have listed is my ancestor but I can't really find a good record of their deaths with any of the public records online... I think John was born around 1807. Their daughter Mary Palfreyman, who married a William Harrison Riley (a socialist friend of John Ruskin's [Find A Grave Memorial# 114397794, wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Harrison_Riley) emigrated to the U.S.
